As a longtime Gamera fan, the number of nods and references to Gamera’s entire film history is fantastic. And all the Showa Kaiju got amazing redesigns and even new powers for some! Really hope we get another season, cause this is definitely peak Kaiju anime alongside SSSS. Gridman Now please give us an actual season 2 for this and Singular Point, these one season cliffhanger series are starting to become all Netflix does anymore

全話視た後だと曲作りの時にスタッフから展開聞いてたのか？って位に合うな。サビの流れは映像と相まって最高 監督はこれでアニゴジ三部作の汚名を晴らしたと確信する出来。 「昭和ガメラなんて『子どもの味方』ですよ！どう撮れば良いってんですか(笑)」 と言っていた樋口さんよぉ、こう撮れば良いんだよ！

バルゴンの出てくる二期が来るといいな バルゴンは昭和では唯一子供がメインを張らず、意地汚い大人たちが抗争する話になってるけど リメイクでは打算的な大人になってしまったボコたちの前に、実は生きていたもののウラシマ効果で子供のままのジョーが帰ってきて、成長の中で無くしてしまったものを再び思い出す話とかを見たい それの主題歌が平成ガメラの『神話』だと 「子供の頃は感じていた 目に見えないそのパワーを」 とか 「大人になって歩き出した 抜け殻の愛の世界を」 みたいな歌詞がいい感じにマッチしてくるから、バルゴンをはじめとし、レギオン、イリス、ジーダスら今回はピックアップされなかった怪獣が出てきたらいいな

*BARUGON* Actually Gamera faces 10 enemies but there only 5 enemies in this series so...here Barugon. Barugon is a Gigantic quadrupedal reptile, with reddish-brown scaly skins, Sharp teeth, a long Horn on his snout, smaller horns Above his eyes, and a long whip-like tail. Barugon is male. His second power is an icy spray that he can fire from the end of his tongue. It was strong enough to freeze Gamera solid for eight hours. Barugon's final power is the ability to use spikes on his back to project a rainbow out of his back that can destroy a whole line of missles, as seen in war of the monsters. His weakness is fresh Water.

The thing I like about this opening more than any other kaiju anime opening is that it really encapsulates the hopeful aspect of Gamera's character as seen in pretty much all of his film appearances to some degree.The music and animation are also a nice blend of the traditional coming of age story and the way that Gamera is usually a scrappy underdog determined to win.

The human characters may look kinda wack at times, but the sudden quality-spikes in animation can make them still look great from time to time. The Kaijus are perfect. Could not have asked for a better outcome. Still, _i kinda prefer Singular Point_ for it's human-cast and more interesting (if a little confusing) plot... But this is nice! *Post Episode 3 EDIT:* The animation seems alot better than the last two, and im beginning to like the human cast more. Singular Point still sweeps tho. *Post Series EDIT: I cried. 10/10, Singular Point has found it's equal.*

Hard to believe we almost got Godzilla vs. Gamera in 2002 but Togo backed out and instead to focus on the Millennium series. Maybe hopefully with renewed interest, we can finally get that crossover.

Despite the low budget it had a better story ,characters and monster battles than the godzilla anime trilogy, singular point,the kong series and the unltraman anime on netflix. With only 6 episodes.

Absolutely! I was really impressed with how unexpectedly good the story was! The kaiju battles were also fittingly brutal considering how notoriously violent and bloody Gamera's bouts have been in the past!

Not much of a huge feat to accomplish when those anime were mostly slow burners and weren't meant to have alot of action to begin with. Plus ultraman's anime was closer to Iron man in concept than the traditional ultraman
