I’ve been playing through the most recent rpgs. Persona 3 reload, FF7 Rebirth. Shin magami tensei V Vengeance. Like a dragon infinite wealth. And Metaphor Refantazio. The RPGs have been amazing this year and one of the best years for JRPGs in general they are all so much fun to play and innovative the stories are great as well. As a fan of JRPGs I’m happy! They’re so good and long as well.

Im 25 hours into Metaphor Refantazio and it's honestly one of the best games I've ever played. The narrative is amazing, it's very creative, and it's social systems and side activites are more fun than Persona to me. I'm thoroughly impressed and blown away. Most I've enjoyed a game since Rdr2 I think.

I've played a decent amount of these games and every single one deserved their credit. Even Senua's Saga which was brilliant... just couldn't get the frame rate up on my laptop. Had to play on a different PC. This sucks because I do 16 hr night shifts watching a gate. It's not exactly mesmerising work. Video games keep me sane and I was really looking forward to the solo immersive experience with Senua's Saga. I had to share it...and I didn't want to. Edit: Sue me. My other half doesn't like gaming. Still Wakes The Deep made up for it though 😊 That was a short but sweet, utterly immersive BANGER. Loved it!👌

Currently playing Black Myth Wukong - still early on, only Chapter 2, but I can’t believe how much I’m enjoying it. Gameplay draws inspiration from many different games but there’s definite heavy inspiration from FromSoft games. As someone who enjoys SoulsBorne games in spite of their boring combat, I’m having so much fun with the combat here. I was surprised to hear it called basic in this video - it’s so much deeper and more complex than Souls games (excluding Sekiro if you’re including that). I tire from the Souls formula of dodge roll, dodge roll, dodge roll, find opening, run in and get 2 or 3 hits in, then start dodging again, over and over. Wukong has so much more going for it - the parry mechanic of a heavy attack mid combo that’s charged by light attacks alone is a game changer. Level design is definitely lacking and doesn’t compare to something like Elden Ring - it’s basically a boss rush mode, but thankfully most of the bosses (so far) are very well designed and there’s a ton of them. 107 I think? Bosses plus the combat plus the progression also being top tier has made the game an absolute blast. I’ve heard it drops off a bit in the late game but so far it’s incredible. Apparently I love Jake & Gameranx enough to leave a game review that nobody asked for as a KZbin comment. How’s that for engagement! If you liked Hollow Knight, get Nine Sols. It is incredible and I would say is on par with Hollow Knight. If you love parry mechanics that are punishing for missing the timer, get Rise of the Ronin. There is a lot of depth to the combat with a steep learning curve.

Yeah, the sequel was canceled and the team was disbanded. It’s pretty short sighted because the game will continue to sell thanks to good word of mouth. The studios previous game, Rayman Legends initially also underperformed but kept selling well and now is a multi million seller.

Enshrouded has had 4 major updates at this point, and the 4th one was less than a week ago, so it’s a great time to give the game another chance. Also worth checking out the patch notes from those updates to get an idea of what’s changed.

I actually find that the story of the Lost Crown gets better on repeated play throughs. The game also gives certain details related to the characters and lore through optional side content like the sand jars and the impossible climb challenge. There’s also a little more you learn in the Mask of Darkness DLC that’s only $5.00.

I pulled plain arms off a gi joe figure and man it was a pain to get right on the wolverine but it fixed the arm length issue. I had to cut off the ball joint from the original arms, dremel a hole into the gi joe arm peg and ball joint, run a rod through to connect them and glue it and it worked excellently. A little tedious but matches perfectly

I've been playing the Yakuza series myself, they were on sale recently got 0-6 so the OG series. Been loving it so far working through yakuza kiwami on chapter 7 with 40 substories completed. The game keeps you engaged all the time lots of combat encounters plus Majima boss fights constantly. For some it may be annoying but I love it, Majima is one of the funniest and wild characters I've come across in a video game.

I'm not going to tell you will love it, everyone likes different things, but the demo is pretty unrepresentative. The game gets better and better the more you play. Honestly it's hard as nails by the end and pulling off the ridiculous sets of moves you need to do is really rewarding. Again though if it's not for you it's not for you.
