Forever Skies is a good survival game that I can't remember if you guys have covered. It gives a feeling of playing Raft, but you are flying in the skies in a blimp. HEAR ME OUT: A survival game where you start out as a normal person, with a steady job, decent money, friends and family, in a giant open city that you can explore. But at night the city get attacked and destroyed by giant Kaiju battling each other. You have to survive the destruction and giant monsters shooting energy beams and stomping the ground, debris falling everywhere, cars exploding, ect. Until the sun comes up and the Kaiju return to the sea or mountains. That's when the city gets quarantined off, and during the day you have to gather whatever resources are left to survive, fight other people who are trying to survive, and find a safe place to live. You also have to find and use resources to fortify your shelter or bunker. Because every night another giant Kaiju battle starts. And the ultimate goal of the game is to find a way to escape the city. And the twist ending: When you finally escape, you find out the entire world is under non-stop attack and the one city where the Kaiju only come at night was probably the safest place in the world. BOOM!

What would be cool is if a company or someone made a post apostolic game where at the beginning you're just an average Joe or Jane doing e everyday normal things like going to work and what no, but you've got to play like that for 15 - 20 in game days, then out of nowhere regardless if your character is sleeping or driving or just walking around outside, BOOM! Either a zombie outbreak happens or nuclear war or a meteor, something catastrophic happens. You have a family to get back to if you so choose to create one or if you so choose to go back and save them. All in all, you gotta figure out different ways to survive. Also it would be up to you if you wanna start your character say in a city or farm or you're camping or at a gun range. Something of that nature. You can take over compounds or build your own and recruit people or eliminate them.

Road to Vostok, let's hope *HE can nail it. It's one dude making this game. But seeing how fast he ported his entire project over from unity to godot, I got no doubt this man got the skills!

Ngl for Rooted I got some strong vibes that reminded me about The Day Before way before he said it. Makes it hard for me to be hyped about it haha

The Planet Crafter is a Subnautica-like survival crafting game that just launched its 1.0 update in April. I just finished it (earlier this evening, in fact) and it was a great experience, especially if you love survival crafting games.

Thanks for reminding me of that one. I forgot that it came out of Early Access. I'm playing the demo now!

I've tried a lot of survival games, but I always go back to DayZ. It has its issues like driving can be sketchy, but nothing else compares
