He knows the value of playing the long game and hopefully he has cultivated a company culture that has the same outlook and won't bend the knee to investors that want a quick return. I loved how Yagoo answers all the questions about HoloID. It's true, instead of debuting new gen, the best way for now is to support all of our girls so they can get more recogntion. Tbh, ID stream cultures are very different from EN/JP. If you want to attract lots of potential fans & viewers, you really need special approach. This is pretty big homeworks for the Mane-chan and the Talent itself. But from the last year I can see its changing and slowly adapting, which is a good sign

Yeah, brand collaboration is way to go, IMHO, for Indonesian market. Look at the Tokopedia x Kobo and Indomie x Ollie x Kobo, and lastly the Honda x Kobo collab. HoloID may not have individual contributors, but their brand recognition is very much on national level. Some of them are part of memes.

A lot of Spanish-speaking countries have English as a second or third language, and Justice already proves that the company is open to hiring more talents from Europe into the branch. I think a unit with 2-4 people who are comfortably fluent in Spanish along with their English might be a great way to get that foot in the door. Hakka over in HolostarsEN also already occasionally does ES-centric streams, since he's from somewhere in South or Central America.

They profit without the burden of an in-house development studio. It's a win for everyone including the indie devs, but don't get it twisted. Cover isn't leaving easy money on the table.

But I get why some non fluent Japanese still recruited as they can do much more in other areas. just judging from the way he speaks and his gestures, despite being a well known CEO, he is still humble and nervous from this one on one interview and still down to earth. Yet, some people still spreading hate/misinformation whenever a graduation/termination happens. I could understand if it's just due to venting anger but at least have a calm state of mind. Both Hololive and COVER are still humans, they take extra steps from their mistakes unlike other certain agencies but rn, they are the best agency you could hope for in this industry right now. 1. As has been said by others before me, HoloSEA just isn't a sensible move as we don't even talk with the same language (other than English). Each countries having their own branches make more sense in technical feasibility, but most likely not financially feasible (even looking outside of Holo the only country in SEA that has vtubers with subs size rivalling corpo vtuber is ID, but even ID is still handicapped by less economically strong fanbase). Just debuting more HoloEN with SEA root is the correct move (like Biboo). 2. HoloES is the only new branch proposal left that makes sense imho. With HoloEN office you should have easier access to tap spanish speaking staffs as well, yes? 3. While focusing on current talent is a good move, I think HoloID new gen audition has been running for like almost two years now? I do love the extremely tight knit relationship of current ID members and 9 is actually a good number for a large cohesive 'unit' (any larger and moving together all at once would be exponentially harder). However, public perception and attention DO need refreshment once in a while, and eventually they will need to debut whoever they found in these two years. Take your time, but please stick to the tradition of including exceptional singer - comedian in the branch please YAGOO 🙏

SEA is pretty spread out, and with how Hololive really does focus on the quality of each individual talent, it would be costly and risky to set up that many branches. Although when he did mention that there are a lot of homegrown creatives in the region I got excited because it could be a business opportunity for a lot, esp big fans like myself, though he did specifically say Malaysia. Living in the PH, im just breathing up copium that there would be a good opportunity that can link to Holo or any similar type of company, creative work is an adventure but a risk.

Rather than creating new branches focused on specific countries, focusing on languages seems more smart to me. Just like Hololive English, which is not “Hololive USA”, it's a branch that any English speaker can join, regardless of their country of origin, and all fans who understand English can follow. Following this logic I think it would be really smart to debut a Hololive Spanish branch. A branche not focused on a specific country, but on one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, Spanish. It would capture the entire Latin American public and many other countries around the world that have Spanish as their native language.

I don't think making an ES branch would be a good idea. The region is not the best economically so it'd be pretty hard to get superchats, also, the culture can get extremely EXTREMELY toxic, so unless you find the right talent that can get a handle for things, it's gonna be hard. There's been attempts at ES branches and ES small corpos and they've all ended in some sort of disaster, so I think it's better for big corpos to stay away.

Niji EN's main problem was simply that, because they were basically debuting a Gen every 6 months or so, they had way more talents than staff to manage them, leading to a lot of people basically having to manage themselves and leading to a lot of miscommunication and infighting because there were all these stressed out combatative people with nobody to make sure they could resolve things in a healthy constructive manner

It's smart that he's choosing to grow in response to success rather than race to expand hololive wherever there's been even moderate traction. Not only does that make it easier to predict positive responses from fans for events but it also lets him keep the corporate culture and mission of his company thriving. Nothing's spiraling out of control because he always keeps the breaks on, and he waits to see how something new turns out before putting more effort and resources behind it. The way that Nintendo is going after Palworld, it's very risky to create a knock-off game and skirt around trademark infringement. Perhaps Cover is seeing that and rethinking in-house development and instead looking at seperate development and just licencing out IPs. Plus its expensive having a game in years-long development. They may want to use that money in other ways. They still have their Metaverse they're developing too.

As in, there is no other KZbin channel from Indonesia, be it a Vtuber or not, that has that many subscribers. Hololive has the Number 1 KZbinr of Indonesia.
