Not gonna lie, I know NOTHING about the series as a whole (this game was my only exposure to it), but the whole story I couldn’t help but root for Belial. He’s just so stylish and charismatic. Gives off Dio vibes in that sense. And I’m hoping he’s isn’t actually dead so I can whoop Bubs lame ass with him. Edit: I’ve just caught up on the bonus RPG Mode levels and he and Bubs are still alive, so sweet sweet revenge shall come soon.

The online wasn't (and it isn't in some situations) too hot when the game came out, which caused some people to bash it quite a bit, damaging it's reputation right from the get go. Then the pandemic happened, and for the next few years good online netcode became a necessity for a fighting game to even survive, and since this one didn't have the best online experience, it all but killed the hype for what would've otherwise been a great and beloved fighting game with a thriving community. There's still some people playing it tho, and from what I've seen, the community makes up for it's small size by being generally welcoming and nice to new players.
