That was so cool to watch, I love personnal stories related to video games. So many memories and emotions with gaming, it's awesome. You explained your memories well! I would love to live again the experience of playing Halo on the original Xbox at my best friend house, in coop couch mode. We played the game during several days, beating it in all difficulties, it was so awesome between the action, the incredible music. Return to my day as a child and discover again Pokemon puzzle challenge would be incredible. This game started my passion for match 3 games wich I still play very often today. On this kind of games it would be awesome as well to go back to highscool days when I played Puzzle quest challenge of the warlords for the first time. I didn't know back then that it will be later one of my favorite games ever. Lot of other options. On the other hand I would not want to relive the time when I played Silent hill at a friend house as a kid as Abe's oddysee, the intro of that game scared me so much as a kid.

Man, nothing has sunk its teeth into me quite like Three Houses did. The absolute chokehold that game had on me for MONTHS has yet to be experienced again. The sheer amount of intrigue that game offered on every single level still astounds me.

I had the same experience with Xenoblade on Wii - it took me forever to get my hands on a copy since they were so rare (copies on eBay were going at about $100+ at that time). Finally found a used copy in a Gamestop of all places after years of looking, and since then its been history. The series has basically become a part of my psyche at this point lol.

God just hearing that XB music made me almost tear up. I have such amazing memories of playing that game a few summers ago on switch and I will never forget my journey with those characters. I had to force myself to finish it because it was so enjoyable and I didn't want it to end.

Oh gosh…. I think Kingdom Hearts 2 is one of my greatest video game memories and replaying that the first time in that memory would be amazing.

If we're talking about playing for the first time when they were new, my picks would be - Mario 64 (going from 16 bit games to full 3D Mario was unreal at the time), Knights of the Old Republic, Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Resident Evil 4 on GC, and Octopath Traveler 2. I know Octopath Traveler 2 is still so new, but I was blown away with how amazing that game was when I wasn't expecting much 😅

3 houses is awesome. My first playthru I felt so betrayed by edelgard and didn't know that you could actually side with her! Cuz obviously I would have lol.

When I think of games I wish I could play again for the first time, there are a few that immediately spring to mind. Namely the original Mass Effect, Witcher 1, Baldur's Gate 1, Dark Souls 1 and the Shadowbringers expansion for Final Fantasy 14 (kind of cheating to include an mmo expansion but it's up there amongst my favorite video game stories of all time so, in my book, it counts).

OG FF7, Fallout 3 / NV , Transistor and Control i'm about 10ish yrs older than you and even that's crazy to hear you talk about certain games being folk's childhood when just a few yrs before we had crap NES games that were unplayable. man when donkey kong country came out on SNES we thought it couldn't get better LOL

Emerald was also my "intro" into the world of Pokemon, and I loved it as well. Playing it again for the first time would be really nice

Surprised not to see a harvest moon! For me it would be Friends of Mineral Town, Rune Factory 4, Breath of the Wild, Persona 3, and Three Houses. And I’m about to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the first time, hope it’s another series that’ll become as nostalgic to me as it is to you!

It's interesting to see what games young people are nostalgic for. For me it would be games like Zelda Ocarina of Time, Metal Gear Solid 1, Resident Evil 2 and Final Fantasy 7.

I love your list! And I can relate to you on Three Houses and feeling connected to the characters during a tough time. It was one of the first three games I thought of to answer the topic of the video myself. The other two are Fire Emblems Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. I’d love to experience that arc with Ike, Micaiah, and crew for the first time and feel the depth of that story once again, especially as a burgeoning Fire Emblem fan (I’d find a way to play them back to back in a similar way they were released, but I’d skip the memories between release if I could)

My heart Final Fantasy IV was my first FF on the DS TOO! I’m in my 20s too so I guess that might be why this version ended up being that special for us lol The music. The characters. Even the voice acting. I love that you have that connection with it too. It’s not weird at all :) I love it 😭 haha.

Great video. You are doing a wonderful job with this channel. I am 100% with you on Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii. It blew me away. To capture that moment of playing it again for the 1st time would be amazing. I just haven't had it with X or Chronicles 2 at all which have put me off a bit. Other games I wish I could play for the first time again are Metal Gear Solid, Pokemon Blue and Super Smash Bros Melee. MGS and Blue from my childhood and Melee from when I was a teen. Melee was the first game I had on the GC. That opening sequence and its gameplay, just wow. I was addicted to trophy collecting.

Conkers bad fur day on the 64. Also, while this is not a video game, watching the haunting of hill house again for the first time. Seriously it's a god tier show that needs to be watched by every man, woman, child and animal on this planet.

Classic GameStop, selling an opened game as "new" lol Great list Alex, love the story of you and your Grandpa playing Professor Layton. For me, a lot of PS1 era games come to mind. Some like Final Fantasy VII and Breath of Fire III were two of my first RPGs I ever played and didn't really understand how to play them at the time (What do you mean running away from every battle will make me extremely under leveled??? lol) But other games like MegaMan Legends and Brave Fencer Musashi I just want to go back for the memories. So I got a little bit of both for later and life and reliving first memories.

Yeah I know the feeling, I need to go back to Fire Emblem three houses and beat my third run with the black eagle house, I also did the blue lion house first :) For a game I would love to play for the first time, would be Phantasy Star! yeah old man here lol but even if it was fun back then, now would be just great too! But yeah it was the game that make me a RPG and Dungeon crawler lover! thanks for the video!
