Aren't Coat d'arms paints a very close color-match for the old Citadel paints?

I think they are cloe, but the Game ones are exactly the same paints as the old GW ones

The reason the paints changed was they had some form of an issue with the supplier and then went to colart to get a proper range for the paints. It is not to say that those really old colors went away companies like Vallejo still probably make the color you just need to figure out the name and or color code of the old one.

Yeah, the Valleji Game range is exactly the same range and they do a chart to show the old GW names 👍

Great video Nick! I get being mad when GW changes model rules and gear set ups. The truth of it, and it took me a bit to wrap my head around it when I worked for GW, is that us veteran hobbyists are not the focal point of their sales it the new player and hobbyist base.

Great video, my brother! Grievous came out looking awesome! It really is a shame when the company makes changes that throw off our paint schemes, play styles, or even invalidates our miniature collections. Like yourself, the game and the minis have brought me a lot of enjoyment, so I don't hold out against them to make money, but it can be frustrating on occasion.

i have 6 vypers for my eldar that have shuriken cannons underneath. luckily. no one ever notices. or just do not care. but yea the paint changes have hindered me several time since the 90s. you can always just repaint the model if it really bothers you. or just play with that model with old rules.

It's a minor issue for GW as long as they are selling minis and rules

Your destroyer problem isn´t realy a problem from a lore perspective. Your charackters are gold, because they are "persons" in the necron army, with all their personality engrams intact. while your troops are basicly nothing more as automotons. animated robots with no personality and or a mind of their own. A Hexmark destroyer is just another destroyer, he just walks around alone....but just because he walks alone, dos not make him a nechron charackter.

It is annoying, but I probably wouldn't worry over this much. I have to assume that GW is going to bounce back to using HQs as a unit type name eventually. People still think in those terms, even if there is a different unit-type name being used right now. I'll be honest, I'm probably more annoyed with how GW basically discarded Tau drones. They're still on the sprue and in most of the kits, and the way GW handles xeno kits, it'll be a long time before the current range sees a turnover....

well i just lave AS IS do not go nuts on what GW has to say or do thare butch of pain in BLEEP and you paint what ever you like as ALL say you buy its yor mini when GWpays you to paint thare minis then you got do that whay the olny oter time you got paint minis a whay if some one pays you look at BTP run by shown galy (blue tabel painting ) THAY HAVE LOT of sceems that have to do but lot the pepel who pay em say hay do what ever and OK with me and yes i mist some vid me what tune of war game exclusive mini fore my girl gurd yes bin doing boring guard to and fixing tanks UUUUGGG yes great paint job and see what you do as do ho PS who care wat paint brand you paint with if think the wright one you go with it the one you get or like to work with and goes to readers of rant
