Sakura Wars is one of those game franchise that is really underrated and never to be seen in the west. This game has potential but because of the lack of advertisement, the game suffers because of it. Not many people ever heard of this game until it is too late, because of that we won't get another Sakura Wars game and the only times we actually have a sort of experience in Sakura Wars is the Project X Zone games. BTW, I played Sakura Wars 3 and I love it.

This has been a long overdue episode for sure, I can't say that I've ever heard anyone talk about, or even mention, Sakura Wars anywhere (whether it be in real life, or in the various spaces of the internet I inhabit). It's good to know there are other fans out there! :)

I saw the Sakura Wars anime but found the series hard to get into. It looks really cool but I felt like I'd be lost in the vastness of the franchise. How'd you record SD footage like this so clean? I like this series of yours quite a bit^^

I can't say that I'm clued up on the franchise as a whole, there is A LOT of it and we basically get none of it over here, the games really shine on their own merit though and I didn't feel as if I was missing out of anything, it's possibly the reason NISA chose this one to localise, it seems like a self-contained story though I am lead to believe it's based on something like series 8 of the anime. The gameplay footage is direct from the official trailer (with some aspect ratio editing and general cleaning up) it was just perfect to use and showed off things you wouldn't see until very far into the game, but the opening movie from the game was recorded with a component-to-hdmi adapter that went into an Elgato HD60 Pro, although I don't see a noticable improvement over using my old Elgato HD which has analog inputs (used on my Baten Kaitos video) :)

Jay RPG Yeah I don't have an El Gato 60, but don't have much reason to upgrade unless I combine it with a PS4 pro and I'm not that wealthy.

I got a 60 Pro (the PCI-E one) on the cheap second hand, was very lucky, and it just makes everything so much easier since it's instant feed, so you don't need to have the console also hooked up to a TV to play a game, you can play and record at the same time directly in the Elgato app.

This is one of those games I bought in a bundle when I was younger and to this day have not played yet. I might just go change that tonight. I just finished the the newest one they released a minute ago and that's why I looked up this video.

Game sold only in 15 000 copies in West (at launch, lifetime sales is arround ... 400 000 on PS2 + Wii), Shin Sakura Wars PS4 game was released and there is no digital version. So Long My Love was also last game released on PS2 in West (except sports games like FIFA, PES, NBA, NHL), when PS2 in 2010 was considered a retro console.

I happened to stumble on this game in my public library when I was 11 or 12, quickly grew to love it. It's a shame that the franchise crashed and burned. Subaru best girl.

After watching TGS I had to come back to this video. Man I wish I didn't skip Sakura Wars So Long, My Love back in the day because I was holding out for the first four games to get localized. Know a place that has had a copy of the premium edition for a while like 2 years in good condition, may pick it up in prep for the new game and hope it and other copies don't get too hard to find with the new release inbound.

Gotta say, loved the interaction system and the city's time so much in this game, its super fun and it really makes you think what to do with your time, not to mention give it gme great replayability, but by golly did the story sucks o.O Gemini best girl, just like most other girls voiced by Laura Bailey out there, nuff said :D

MySetList it has multiple language options while the Wii is English only

PS2 better translation (by NISA), Wii version have ,,Neptunia level'' translation (by Idea Factory). Also PS2 version have JPN and ENG voices, when Wii version only ENG. Wii version have also freezes in battles.
