Back in New Leaf, I once grew a tree in front of a villager's house. Later, when it was fully grown, I remember that they couldn't go back in their house. Also, I didn't have an axe to cut it down. The villager then discussed moving to another village.

I did something similar with Penelope once, because I realized I hated her and wanted her to go away. So I waterscaped around her house and when that didn't work I made the area bigger and bigger. It was then that I realized why she was getting out.

Yeah they can teleport cause with my neighbor mac i trapped him in my neighborhood i build and i time traveled to the next day and he was just chilling in the plaza so they can teleport hope this helped 😄

Pretty sure (in my imagination) the villagers have the same options as the player does when stuck. Simply call The Resetti Brothers at Rescue Services. Eh, it makes sense to me. Right? I never see them jump the river but they talk about it and sometimes lose their stuff in places where there isn't a bridge or ramp. Teddy told me once that there was someone passed out on the beach where there wasn't a bridge built yet.

My experience using amiibos is that when you invite a villager to your campsite using an amiibo the villager you select for them to negotiate with (when someone has to move out for the camper to move in) always agrees to move. They can be my bestie and they still agree. Have you ever tried that?

OK but ... will this genuinely make the villagers hate you or no? Because I've had Phoebe fenced in - and then out - for 18 months and she's still super happy to see me. All my villagers sometimes say they want to go (but they can't!) except Phoebe. I can NOT get rid of her.
