This game has a special place in my heart for being one of my childhood games, so it’s really cool to see it get attention at AGDQ

Same! Love to see this over the seemingly more popular battle for bikini bottom

This might actually be the best couch this GDQ. They are knowledgeable and explain the run, and the runner is just hyper locked in for the whole run.

I never played the SpongeBob Games, but watching any of them with or without commentary is shockingly impressive. They're always a treat and show of community skill & ingenuity.

~11:54 "Very difficult trick" As a casual player who has done this trick on the GameCube version to trivialize beating the dev time for RetroAchievements, I... Don't understand this? People always say Rub A Dub Skip is hard, and I honestly was able to pick up the trick and its visual cues within like 10 minutes if I remember correctly, while using the analog stick, not the D-Pad? Granted, part of that is due to finding a video of the trick with an input display, which helped me understand the timing, but still. I don't know, maybe I'm just better at video games than I think I am? I can understand how it would've taken years to find, of course, but once you know *HOW* to do it, it's really consistent. Like I said, there's visual cues, namely the segments of the wooden rail on the side of the bridge. As long as you jump and switch the analog stick directions at the same spots, it works every time. I'd argue the hardest part is the backwards jump you have to do at the start of the trick. ~30:41 Now, that jump, on the other hand... Took me a while to figure out. Genuinely wonder how people find skips like these sometimes. Dodging around death planes that are completely invisible and effectively require getting a feel for where they are? Not an easy feat! Seriously though, things like Rub A Dub Skip and the various skips in Rock Slide are really impressive. Some might turn out easy to perform with the right setup (like how I feel with Rub A Dub Skip), some might be ridiculously hard even when you know what to do, but the fact that people can find these tricks, and then perform them consistently? Speedrunners amaze me. ~38:15 That was one of those tricks where I feel like it's always going to be insane to me that it exists and people found it. An absolutely crazy skip. ~1:00:30 And then you have that last skip of the run in Knucklehead. And things go from "absolutely crazy" to *"ASTRONOMICALLY CRAZY"* .
