Her English is way better than my Japanese. That was amazing to watch.

She came up with a full monologue up front in a language she isn't comfortable with, and it was great! Far better than I could do in ANY other language!

I love seeing Japanese runner on GDQ. Really shows how global the speedrun community is. Plus this is such an amazing run too. Even though I don’t know this Castlevania it still looks quite hard. Especially the Dracula fight with pits in the room.

One of the hardest Classic titles for sure. Not to be confused with Rondo either

Both runner and commentary did a great job. Thank you for the run!

As a casual viewer who played Castlevania in my childhood, it is kinda fascinating that someone who beats THIS GAME, in FIFTEEN MINUTES, doesn't think this is a "good run". Ma'am, many of us have never been able to beat this game AT ALL. Gee... Good job, though!

Having played this game like a week ago, that movement was superb! Yeah Stage 5 was a bit rough, but still so many nailed tech and great bossfights. Really awesome run and runner, and good job from Wolf to explain everything in such a short time while still dealing with the delay. Thanks everyone for this!

Great run! It's always cool when we get to see runners from the actual homeland of all these games we love. Nice to see this oddball in the series pop up at another GDQ, too. The original Rondo is definitely the better game, but I'm honestly more impressed with people who are good at this version. _Everything_ is stacked against you in Dracula X. Harder stages, less polish, friggin' pits in the Dracula fight, and above all, no playing as that little human wrecking ball Maria.

When she intentionally fell, I was like "WTF?" Then when she was spawned from above, I was like "WTF?" with a completely surpising feeling. How?!

Thanks Crunan! Actually, I learned many things through your tutorial video. After watching it, the bat boost in stage 3 got much easier! Also I learned good ending and best ending run from your PB video. I respect you a lot :)

I understand now why this game is so underrated, no it’s not as well regarded as its PC Engine CD counterpart, but it’s a fire Castlevania game all on its own regardless. Incredible music, solid level design, and challenging (I’m assuming, runner makes it look stupidly easy). Sounds like top notch Castlevania to me!

Isn't dracula x a bad version of rondo of blood?
@EarthboundBenjy16 күн бұрын
It doesn't share any level design with Rondo, it only shares sprites and soundtrack. So I would classify it as a separate game that just uses Rondo's assets. Kind of like a Mega Man 8 vs Mega Man & Bass situation - same sprites, but different game.
