BACK IN '87(88-90 really), I used to see that game over screen daily. I'd sometimes restart the game, and just stare at the title screen-listening to the music and staring. I'd be looking for a damn clue to beat the game lol. I'd pull the cartridge out and stare at it, thinking "but Zelda 1 was beatable".

Seconded. I had my main volume up so high to be able to hear these videos, that I actually had to go into my sound mixer and limit the volume of other software I had running.

Easily my fav Zelda game after Twilight and Awakening. The down thrust is easily the most overpowered weapon in video game history lol. Prove me wrong. I feel most people got their 🍑 handed to them before ever getting it and just quit. Is there even a no down thrust category?…… 🤔
