Fun fact: when I was a kid, I bought the original gameboy game from a flea market. The seller told me that the game would last me for a lifetime. There was some truth to it, as I found out at home that the game was in German with no way to change the language...

56:28 Native german here... apology accepted. Edit at 1:01:20 Hey, that wasn't so bad. Edit 2 (after the interview): Wow... didn't think we germans had such a high contribution to GDQ. I hope my fellow Deutschländer weren't too offended by TGH's attempt at german book reading. :D
@hobielein23344 жыл бұрын
I never heard of germans being offended by non-natives trying to read german words out loud. I only know many who find that really amusing :D
@doopness7854 жыл бұрын
Odd that German ends up being faster when German on average is often more characters per word than most other languages
@AyaTanaka_4 жыл бұрын
its our speciality, we can fit whole sentences into only one word
@ImoowhenIPoo4 жыл бұрын
Thats because german is able to combine multiple words into one longer word.
@liamwhite35224 жыл бұрын
Well, aren't long german words just multiple other words strung together? If you can get the same meaning across in 5 words with about 8 letters each on average, or 1 word that's 40 letters on average, you still save time from not having spaces.
@AlbySilly4 жыл бұрын

@TheGymSavant3 жыл бұрын
Marin mentions wanting to leave the island as a seagull as she assumes that only the seagulls are able to escape. So if she’s correct, if a seagull can’t even reach it, it must be very far away lol
