Its speed runs like this that are getting me more into watching speed runs. Love the commentary and the way they get the crowd involved. Overall just a good happy atmosphere. Great run keep up all the good work GDQ and all the amazing runners that make the event special.

I would love to see a four swords anniversary type game in this style. Ive always loved the idea of other swords than the Master sword with their own powers

This was my first time watching an entire run of a game, and it was absolutely amazing! Great runner & commentary, and for a great cause! Can’t wait for the next GDQ to maybe catch some of this action “live”!

Fun fact: when I was a kid, I bought the original gameboy game from a flea market. The seller told me that the game would last me for a lifetime. There was some truth to it, as I found out at home that the game was in German with no way to change the language...

According to the German copy of the game it's a violin yeah (du hast die Muschelgeige erhalten = you've obtained the Shell Violin); but the English copy does call it a cello I believe

I've played through this game 3 times and I never knew you could kill the "gordos" on the beach with your sword. I always just pushed them with my shield

Odd that German ends up being faster when German on average is often more characters per word than most other languages

Thats because german is able to combine multiple words into one longer word.

Well, aren't long german words just multiple other words strung together? If you can get the same meaning across in 5 words with about 8 letters each on average, or 1 word that's 40 letters on average, you still save time from not having spaces.

It's actually the other way around, since Link's Awakening came first, and Malon and Talon's names were inspired by Marin and Tarin

Marin mentions wanting to leave the island as a seagull as she assumes that only the seagulls are able to escape. So if she’s correct, if a seagull can’t even reach it, it must be very far away lol
