Daishoyama was a belt spcialist but after being slapped a few times by Takatoriki he decided to start slapping too. Takatoriki got slapped so many times but he didn't care, it didn't prevent him from doing good sumo and he outlasted his heavier foe, driving him off the dohyo. "Just part of the sport" thought Takatoriki.

若い彗星の様に登場し、人気をはくし長期に亘って、好成績を収める力士もいいが、老成、抜きん出た成績を 上げられず、引退して行く力士の方をむしろ声援したいね。話が変わるが、寺尾、旭富士、共にいい顔だねぇ... イケメン・主役の顔。
