Something about the daimyo who attacked a monastery getting effortlessly countered and destroyed by the head monk in his zen garden without ever landing a hit before being done in by his own prior dishonorable actions feels perfectly like a samurai film.

Having the Monks be basically Anime Protagonists was so funny! The Sensei just stomps through the Emissary and the Footsoldiers, while the Big Boss clobbers the Daimiyo to death without getting hit once... Then it ends in a full Retreat after the Monks suffered some scratches and like two casualties... Meanwhile the Daimyo Army is in disarray and the Lord of the country is dead.
@Sandman3823 күн бұрын
4 monks died, the only full unit to die having been bow boys who just got rushed by the best fighter. A guy with a broom took a bullet, and the samurai managed 1 whole kill on a naginata guy. The daimyo just got a terrible dicing followed by karma. Meanwhile the monks had generally good luck past turn 1.
@flufflebut87814 күн бұрын
What a stomping! Look at those rolls. But Lewis playing the dishonorable heel and Pyrion going stompy stompy still made for an entertaining narrative.

What an interesting mix of models: I see Malifaux Ten thunders figures, wargames factory rising sun range, and were there some Warlords of Erehwon models in there? Christ... I'm such a nerd 🤓! Unfamiliar with the ruleset, I thought it might have been the Osprey Wargames "Ronin" system when I clicked on the thumbnail. Thanks guys!

I was wondering what miniatures were used. Thank you very much for helping to identify some of them 🤓

I felt like the two masters fighting was as epic as it gets. The bandit leaders finishing off the archer's, the monk boss coming out and challenging him, the bandit throwing the sand and the boss dodging it, the wild swings from the bandit all for him to lose his footing and for the monk to finish him off with a mallet to the head
@genericuser9843 күн бұрын
cool edit: sensei laughing his way though the battlefield, knocking people's heads like its nothing, meanwhile the daimyo just fighting for his life
