@@sdaftermath123 I have a wild theory: They did tell us what happens. Kratoss will die, BUT i think thats the game after this next one with loki. I think at the end of that next one he gets caught, and the now worshipped god of war will pick up his weapons one last time for a real reason. To get his boyyyy. GoW 2018 and GoW Ragnarok are absolute masterpieces. It's amazing that this media format has gone from shooting blips at Space Invader pixels to 100+ hour productions with legitimate actors, writers, directors, etc. to rival film and TV. I'm so happy to be alive during this era of entertainment.

As cool as it was to play as Bear Atreus does anyone else think it might've been more interesting from a storytelling standpoint seeing Kratos helping the normal Mortal Midgardians in Asgard instead of destroying the world around them granted Asgard still gets destroyed but I think it would have added to Kratos' character development going from someone who destroyed all of Olympus and Greece in the process of killing most of the Mortals, to trying to help and save as many as he can, I don't know I think it would've been better but that's my opinion.

I loved that Kratos advice to Atreus in 2018 is to, “close your heart,” to not feel or think about your actions too zealously. While Odin tells Thor, “don’t think,” to not stew on what you’re doing and just do what I say. And then Ragnarok demonstrates how both of these “lessons” are counter-intuitive to the growth of the recipient.

The only part I didn’t like about this game is it’s up and downs. Moments in the middle of the game didn’t feel like it was playing as a forfeit the the story was had been mixed or been messed around but it hold itself when we reach the end but the second problem there’s a lot of questions haven’t answered in this game besides of the genderism And my biggest criticism is I didn’t take that much of a fight with Thor I feel like there will be a lot more encounters and moves don’t make his fatness as excuse for not make him capable of doing moves you could make him fit character. Because it’s a fictional game with a fictional story you can change color schemes of the people so you can’t even change the body of the characters

When Brok died, I didn't stop crying until much after the scene with Sindri in Tyr's temple, and then I cried for like 10 minutes at the funeral. And it serves so well to motivate our characters. It wasn't until then that Kratos became convinced that Odin had to die. The whole time he was reluctant to go to war, but after that he knew that if Odin lives on, then he will continue to just bring more suffering to the innocent. Brok and Sindri were innocent here.

The character arcs in general were so good. Sindri especially left me heartbroken. I also really loved the scene where Kratos finally tells Atreus “son you are ready” compared to how in the beginning of GoW 2018 he sternly tells him “you are not ready BOY!”. It was a nice little touch that showed Kratos’ growth as a father after finally acknowledging Atreus’ differences and accepting his growth as not only a son but an individual whose discovered their life’s purpose. Normally i find myself emotionally sad at the end of these kinds of stories. But with the exception of Sindri’s tragic arc i ended my play through feeling a sense of overwhelming satisfaction for how things wrapped up. Now I eagerly await the next big adventure.

I can't even imagine playing the 2018 one again, because man, compared to Ragnarok that just feels too empty of characters and stuff to do. They really went super big on the sequel. Edit: Just to be clear, I've played the first one twice on PS4 and once on PC, so i was probably never gonna play it again for at least a few years.

It’s absolutely insane how well crafted these games have been. The amount of effort put into these games reminds me of video games of old. Gaming isn’t about spending money on top of the purchase price for meaningless microtransactions, season passes, or time walls. It’s about immersing yourself into a world, becoming the character, and embracing the art these developers have created. These core values are what companies like Blizzard or EA should strive to be, rather than trying to exploit their player base.

I actually suspected Tyr was Odin when you go into the shrine in Alfheim, when they reveal to Tyr that Groa lied to Odin, Tyr says “she lied” but you can see it’s personal by his expression and by the way he says it. That plus then the camera looms behind him and he looks pretty ominous as a silhouette. I remember being like “that is way too suspicious he took that way too personally something’s not right”. That and also the fact that before the game came out there were theories that Tyr is dead and it’s just Odin impersonating him which is pretty much true. But despite that the game did do a good job of convincing me the longer the game went on to not question what I see. But now that he mentioned the little details I’m definitely going to pay even more attention in NG+ once that eventually comes out.

@@distinguishedallureproduct879 If I remember right it isnt that Odin couldnt go to the Realm Between Realms (Sindris House), merely that he either didnt know how, or didnt know it existed. Once we brought him there, he used his 2 ravens to travel back and forth from the broom closet lol. Regarding Mimir, he doesnt know everything as showcased multiple times when he asks Freya or the Dwarves questions. What he sees is relative to what he knows of, and as of Fimbulwinter he only knew what was foretold. Freya was the one to get us through illusions as well, so magic can still trick his eye.

The next series will be called something else which means they could still revisit the main series as kratos again either with kratos established as the new ruler of the realms or they could make prequels of kratos journey across the world before moving to Midgard. In the novel and comics it's explained kratos travelled to different pantheons over the course of centuries.
