Hamun I recognize a distinction between spamming the same move and keeping someone out and forcing them to make a mistake. I love spammers. They're very easy to beat. I'll grant you that the chip damage you have to take on block from Starfire in this game is pretty ridiculous, but to win a major takes a lot of skill. Regardless of the character/playstyle.

Surprisingly a very interesting Top 8, even more interesting than Combo Breaker's Top 8. All 8 players are amazing. I didn't expect Semiij to finally get it. So happy for him but don't insult Tweedy. He knows ton of matchups, not just zoning. He deserved a high place

aFuturnaught True you can meter burn dash. But once you corner them they can do it to. A lot of zoners have ways to escape the corner for free sadly. Especially after all the work to slowly put them there is mind breaking.

Whenever people say MK11 isn't balanced well, point them to Injustice 2 tournament footage. If you were willing to zone like your life depended on it then your opponent really had no choice but to counterpick with another zoner, and notice how Tweedy isn't winning any tournaments these days - even Dragon, one of the top 3 players in the world, doesn't look like this when he plays his main, Cetrion, because most other top tiers can trade projectiles well enough, and the projectile frame data is more balanced so that it isn't incredibly difficult to punish thoughtless projectiles with teleports or "fuck neutral moves." (Note, this comment may or may not age well depending on what they do to Sheeva's Stomp, now that people have won tournaments with it.)

Well in this case the answer is in the first comment, I simply don't enjoy most of these fights so I go on KZbin where I can skip anything with Starfire/Batman/Aquaman/etc. And I prefer KZbin over Twitch VODs. For games I actually enjoy I prefer to watch them live on Twitch.

i mean when you see pro players in a tournament zoning the entire game and just winning tournaments like that, people are going to conform even more with zoning and running away cause it gets the win, and the pro players do it too... i mean in no other fighting game there is this much zoning or ridiculous plus frames like some characters do, and the down 1's into full combos is just the cherry on top of the cake...dont get me wrong i played this game for a long time, but after realising these many flaws it just stoped being enjoyable to me, i got tired of being cheesed and mostly annoyed cause i couldnt pick my favorite characters like robin or flash without playing a cat and mouse game the entire set with people doing nothing more than zoning, and 70% of the match i had to chase them...

I think the worst thing are characters with a "Win button" aka Scare Crow's and Black Adam's Trait. the chip damage of this game is insane since day 1. It's like KP said "Why do combos when projectiles do all the job for you"

I agree. I play Black Adam (I2 forces you to have pocket top tier just to compete) and it's anti-hype to just trait and win. That's something NRS needs tweak for future games. No instant/guaranteed wins, have it take you to a magic pixel of health; if you forget no more guaranteed wins or mess up, BAM, that person makes a comeback with only .1% health. Also, it's like each game they either go too much rushdown or too much projectile pew pewing. This game's stupidity started with Deadshot and ends with Starfire... Zzzzz

Dunsparce Del Toro Tweedy is okay. He is DEFINTELY being carried. Semijj Rewind and Sonic are examples of people who are actually good, playing multiple different characters at a high level and winning. And arent being carried. Tweedy was a brain dead Sups player and then switched to Fate and Starfire. He doesnt deserve ANY respect. Hes playing to win and thats fine But that doesnt negate the cheap. Hes being carried.
