its crazy how they have less and less actual games at gamestop and they keep trying to change things up. Also its very stressful for the employees to be able to accept trade-ins that arent bootlegs, swapped out, repros, missing keys or even banned then selling to customers soemthing that is useless!

Retro game stores do it all the time Maybe Gamestop should start to teach thier employees and hire knowledgeable people. The few times I've been into a Gamestop the past couple of years the employees lack of knowledge when it comes to games is incredible.

@@JackHoffing Most definitely! The problem is its trickling down from the top. They hire Sales/Retail Managers that aren't gamers to push strategies that are falling flat on their faces. Its sad cause Gamestop is a combination of a lot of stores that consolidated to form Gamestop that used to be great and have great gamer cultures!

The most interesting thing I saw at my GameStop was Xenoblade Chronicles X for Wii U, but they were asking $70 lol. Good thing I already have it.

Wow. Was it behind the counter? The employees at my gamestop seem to get annoyed if I ask them to print out a list of retro games. They keep them in a drawer behind the counter.

The last sale they had was crazy! I got new unopened pa4 games for 5 bucks and a few ps5 games for around 10. Also a grip of used ps4 games BOGO deals dirt cheap. I spent more then i planned on but definitely worth it. Lot of people hate on GS (,and rightfully so😅) , but can't deny the good deals. I drop in every few months to see if they have any deals. Perect time to collect for Xbox One! Games are dirt cheap and playing even better on series x! The gritty Turok game was pretty dope! The tone is different than the N64 games, but I hope we'll see a new Turok game someday.

Yup it's highly underrated imo. Like quite a few of the games on Xbox one that people just didn't play. Sunset overdrive, quantum break and maybe dead rising 3 and 4

Did I hear you say you don’t have an Xbox series x? I know your a big PlayStation dude and I have always been PlayStation guy til someone convinced me to buy my first Xbox which was a series x😊 and it is awesome. Game pass is great, the 60 fps is always on top and they have good games on there to keep you busy.

Nice pick-ups. I just walked into a gamestop recently and had a conversation with the clerk about how it was nice seeing the retro stuff out again. Start your pickups again! I got a few of those cheap, back a while now. Nice to see some are still pretty cheap. Recore and Turok could have been better. But I certainly enjoyed my time with em. 💪😁👍

GameStop in Bay Area California will take retro trade in but won’t resell them. They ship them to the Southern California stores 🤔 The employee told me they aren’t allowed to resell them. Get it together GameStop

I picked up so many games lately from Game Stop under $10 and even under $5. I got a handful of PS5 games under $5. Crazy! They're 4 for $10 and 4 for $20 sales are great too!

Great pickups! Congrats on 100K! Yeah man in November 2023 they began accepting retro games, been going around South FL to the 10-12 gamestops. Amazing finds and staff seem more positive and have said a huge uptick in foot traffic and sales for the stores

Yup that means that GameStop will not be up for to long because everything is going digital, that’s why I take my daughter so she can experience what I did with blockbuster 😢 even tho I always find some rare games at my GameStop for cheap. 👌🏽

Yeah, Wanted: WoF was pretty decent. That and X-Men Origins: Wolverine are some of the few decent comic/graphic novel movie adaptations out there. I always thought it would've been cool to use the six axis control feature Heavenly Sword had, to use for bullet control in Wanted.

ReCore is a good Xbox exclusive. My local GameStop is pretty dry. I have to drive to my 2nd GameStop 25 mins away but it’s always worth it. I always find a good variety and some steel book editions.

Gears 1-3 all the way but i do like 4 it had a good start being all dark and mysterious with the flashlight then lost it afterwards lol.. get ultimate edition online is alright

Walmart is supposedly dropping Starfield to 3 cents. They are supposed to block the sale after they lower the price so they throw them away and no one can buy them. I know I'm keeping an eye on it and might have to check some dumpsters.

I recently picked up an Xbox One x from GameStop for under $200 thanks to a pro deal. I'll probably pick up red Dead Redemption 2 and shop around for deals on Xbox one games.

Judgement was just bad execution on an existing formula. For what ever reason they took what worked in gears, where you flowed from one set piece to the next unraveling a decent enough story (not the best story in the world, but certain executed in a fun an engaging way) and some how messed that up. Now I love bulletstorm which is why this game is that much more disappointing to me. It's like they tried to carry that arcade like score system and tried to shoe horn it into gears. How they could mess that up after Bulletstorm is beyond me. Yet here we are. Stage oriented transitions. Arena combat where you setup the battlefield with turrets and attempt to strategically work your way through battles better suited for multiplayer coop hoard modes, rather than an gears of war campaign. Judgement managed to slow the pace of gears of war down to an extent that it was neither big nor bad ass. Judgement had everything it needed to succeed and just shit all over it instead. They clearly didn't want to make a Gears of War game and it shows. Because Gears 3 had ended the story, the game story suffered from God of War Ascension Syndrome. Blows my mind when people actually buy xbox titles anymore.

I started playing GTA 4 on my Xbox Series X. I got the whole game with the dlcs for $16. I forgot how much of a good game it was. The radio stations and t.v shows had me giggling like a school girl again.

Just wow! The Canadian market is so different. GameStop here will shave off 15$ off the list price and call it a day. I would faint if I found a 4$ game. Great pick-ups!

Yup. I had a GS employee try to tell me that game sells for $80 online and that’s why they give a deal at 70. I don’t remember which game it was now but it actually sells for 30-40. The guy even showed me on eBay how it’s listed for $80. I was like “dude that doesn’t mean anything. I could list Wii sports for 400 but it doesn’t mean it’s worth that. And it’s not going to sell for that”. This kid looked at me completely dead-eyed and couldn’t comprehend what I was telling him. I left.
