@@LordCommander-ui2fw the armoring process is really dependent on the chapter rituals. All SM armor is made im such a way so the individual marine can remove or don it alone. Fancy procedure we see here is clearly a ripoff from StarCraft intro vid, but hey - this is within canon boundaries. What's funny is I had a friend argue why the Ultramarine armoring took so long compared to "The Raptor" besides being different studios. I told him the Raptors aren't a codex compliant chapter, and they skip many of the more ceremonial steps, whereas the Ultramarine chapter literally made the codex (they're Primarch), so they follow the longer, more ceremonial version
@ExHyperion3 ай бұрын
Well your friend was half right, the armoring ritual couldn’t have been in the codex Astartes because Guilliman wrote the Codex right after the Heresy, which is long before the eccliarchy and the religious stuff overtook the imperium. The armoring ritual is 90% likely to be a Mechanicus thing, to appease the machine spirit inside the armor before letting an Astartes wield it.
@pll38272 ай бұрын
@@ExHyperion Definitely. I assume Guilliman wrote some language regarding armoring, but probably didn't intend all of this. In the book Dark Imperium, it was mentioned he had to get them to stop singing every time they armored him.

The Adeptus Astartes are the sigh of steel against the encroaching darkness, each one an avenging son of the Emperor, seeming to step out of the shadows of myth and legend to bring retribution to the foes of mankind. They are the boisterous verses in a violent symphony of fury, their battle cries echoing across a thousand worlds, a thunderous refrain sung in honor of the God-Emperor and the resilient Imperium. Each Space Marine, a burning comet of vengeance across the star-dusted tapestry of the galaxy, carries forth the luminous will of the Emperor, the incandescent beacon of humanity's resolve shimmering in their eyes. They personify righteousness - the perfect confluence of devotion, discipline and undying strength, and a beacon of hope amidst the untamed interstellar wilderness. Clothed in sacred ceramite, their armor a testament to human skill and tenacity, they stride across the theatre of war, demigods of war from ancient tales brought to reality. The skilled hands of the Artificers craft these spectacular works of martial artistry, each symbol and glyph imbued with reverence and sanctity, each rivet and joint a prayer uttered in the name of the Emperor. Underneath these indomitable war-plate suites rumbles the genetic might of primordial origin, flawlessly engineered, fortified by the sacred geneseed of their founding fathers - the Primarchs. The hum of their power armor blends in harmony with the viral rhythm coursing within their transhuman anatomy, a symphony of supernal power and steely resolve. This blend of organic vigour and marvellous technology tempers the Astartes into transcendent warriors, each clad in adamantine resolve. They move with a fluid grace that belies their colossal stature, their footfall resonating with a thunderous affirmation of mankind's dominion over the stars. Each step, a crushing of alien ego, an affirmation of humanity's mighty claim, resounds across the battlefield, a sonorous declaration of the unyielding spirit of the Imperium. This sight, a chapter of Astartes gracefully orchestrating the symphony of war, serves as the ultimate rendition of the Emperor's Divine Will. Each Space Marine's unyielding visage, a hallowed mirror, reflecting the unbroken spirit of mankind against the grim darkness, standing as the ultimate defiance against the roiling tide of cosmic horrors. For as long as there are stars to conquer, the Adeptus Astartes, armored in ceramite and adamantium and instilled with the symphony of fury and honor, will stride unto the battlefield. Their war-cry of steel and spirit are resonating symphonies against the indomitable silence of the cosmos, against the alien, the heretic, the daemon, a chilling promise to all who dare oppose the God-Emperor - an avowal of imminent doom. Thus, they stand as the Emperor's immortal wrath, the shining beacon of humanity's defiance, and the uttermost bulwark against the coming darkness.
