Congrats on 200th episode !! How about Declan rice ? Joelinton / jones better ?
@DraftFCАй бұрын
Rice is certainly in that conversation, I thought he'd be well ahead of where he currently is in terms of goal returns but still a long way to go

I am currently 3 points shy of the lead and top player has a Bowen and Saka headache. Having traded Haaland for Isak a few weeks back this whole season is turning on its head!

Wow massive swing there - some tough choices to be made by the manager above you!

Is kepa out of favour for bournemouth? if so should i get travers, dubvravka or fabianski?
@matthewvoss358Ай бұрын
Would you agree you don’t need to drop Bowen if your league type has an IR? I have Dias too but he should be back next week or so, so idk if the downside is that bad
@DraftFCАй бұрын
Yeah agree if you've got an IR he can stay there happily

Yes drop Mitoma for Gordon 100%

Regarding saka: simply dividing his expected points after a return from injury by the total remaining gameweeks is an oversimplification. Mainly because you only get 11 players that actually score you points every week. I know that with the rotation we see in the PL, having a solid bench can save some gameweeks, and having the additional spot help you hold a mid-level player through a bad gameweek rather than dropping them can be helpful, but you have to remember the value of have a player that can bag 10+ points on any given gameweek and is almost a lock for 5+ points, especially in head-to-head leagues. While holding injured players is almost always a trap, holding top, top players can be the right decision (usually as long as you have a healthy, pretty nailed squad besides that one player). Example would be KDB last season (4 goals, 10 assists in 18 games)

I’m in a 6-team league and no way I’m dropping Saka unless my other guys start picking up short-term injuries/bans all at once. I also have cunha and timber out next GW, but can’t drop either of them on 1-week suspensions. Will just have to lean into more nailed-players for my waivers this week. Several 2-4 week injuries or bans to solid assets would make me reconsider
@DraftFCАй бұрын
You're right about it being an oversimplification, but the maths gets too complicated trying to work out the opportunity cost of a squad player vs starting XI scoring points. The point I'm trying to make is you have to consider those missed weeks still come at a cost. With Saka in particular, you're going from 90 minutes every week to (at best) 60-70 minutes a week, for max 9 games. He'll be rusty and even expecting the same level of output is optimistic. For a 6-team league in particular I'd have zero hesitation dropping him given the calibre of players sitting in the waiver pile every week. I'm sure in your league there have been numerous players scoring hat-tricks sat in the waivers this season? The flexibility of freeing up that spot can do more to get you ahead than waiting for Saka to come back. Especially if you're in a H2H league
@NathanCorrado-f1bАй бұрын
@@DraftFCeh it’s a gamble either way. And even if I dropped Saka for a 1% hattrick player like Kluivert (available in my league), am I going to start him this week? Probably not. So he likely gets me 0 points. And so does Saka. It’s a gamble either way honestly. But at least in a 6-team league, the rest of my team is basically nailed on starters, where as in larger leagues, you’d be eating up a spot on your roster and praying every week that nkunku gets a start.
@aljosapianoАй бұрын
are you arguing KDB was solid hold last season after getting injured in GW1? yes he racked up a lot if points near the end but surely keeping him on the bench for the whole first half of the season was not optimal play. I drafted him, waived him out and picked up a few GWs before he was back

I am in a 10 man league should i drop saka for schade or joelinton? Also going to pick up elanga for sancho.
@DraftFCАй бұрын
If you're in a 10-team dropping Saka you're turning that spot into a streaming spot, which means you're likely going to switch out the player every 1-2 weeks. So doesn't have to be anything fancy with the waivers, just choose someone you like for the upcoming gameweek. If Schade starts vs SOU he's the man to have
@sirron1186Ай бұрын
What game were you watching? Nwaneri was one of our better players and has a chance of continuing to start for sure.
@DraftFCАй бұрын
Lol I was watching it with 50% focus while prepping for this. I'm not suggesting he was bad, just think his performance is getting overhyped because he's 18 - which is still amazing, but doesn't make me want to advocate drafting him into my fpl team at the moment
@sirron1186Ай бұрын
You're probably right about his performance being a little overhyped. However, our other options at RW have been below par, and I'd say Ethan definitely outperformed them. I think for the upside, it's worth the risk if you have a free spot on the bench.

Minteh or Summerville? With Bowen out Summerville will be on that 11.
@DraftFCАй бұрын
Not guaranteed at all - not a good sign they tried Emerson at LW rather than starting Summerville. Even if I knew he would start moving forward, he really hasn't done much. Minteh in a similar position so don't love either one of them at the moment

@DraftFC thanks bro. My choices are really narrow... Thats why.
@joelarner7338Ай бұрын
Not sure I understand the “buy low” segment. You added Ødegaard but then spent the entire time saying you were frustrated with him and looking to trade him for a mid-level player, which is the exact opposite of a “buy low” strategy.
@DraftFCАй бұрын
I thought I sort of acknowledged that but maybe not clear - he's buy low if you think he can get anywhere near his form from his recent years in the back-half of this season (similar to Foden). So as an owner, I have to accept somebody buying him low off of me
@ISEWolfpackАй бұрын
Also an odegaard owner here. If you're trying to move him, who are you targeting? The one Arsenal guy in my league is in last by a significant margin
