I really gotta give some criticism on the editing for this video. The pauses were really awkward. They looked like points where you'd add a sort of headline to move from one topic to the next, like IGN does, but it didn't have that. You could've increased the in-game audio during these instances instead, but you didn't do that either. They're just silent moments that were several seconds long for no good reason. Then there's the part where you're pointing out Rocket's voice acting. Compared to the reviewer's volume (I don't know their name, sorry), it was too low. Finally, those repeated clips at the end. I really feel like some additional footage should've been recorded instead of just reusing clips already shown previously. Maybe this all only bothered me, and I apologize if I come off as annoying and nitpicking, but I thought I'd share it in case it helped.

Haha I can relate to this though. Some people, like me, have trouble staying focused on their character when there’s too much going on on the screen. I don’t turn items off because I’m competitive, I do it because I don’t get as distracted from the action. That’s really the only reason that I’m a little cautious about purchasing MUA3.

This may seem silly, but the style of this game reminds me of a game I played alot during my childhood: A gamecube game called "Teen Titans" based of the cartoon network show. You basically had your squad from the show, and a simple moveset, playing through a 6-7 hour long story beating up bad guys Since I loved that game so much when I was a kid, I might give this game a shot

Cleo Malone oh there’s quite a few, so I stopped playing it to play MAU1 and MAU2 because I was like, “maybe I’m being dramatic.” Nope, I’m still loving MAU2. There’s a lot of negative aspects. No combos, you can’t pop enemies up, you can’t slip them, you can’t hit them while they’re on the ground, you can’t grab them. The environments are extremely bare compared to all the previous installments. Only characters with super strength could pick up heavy objects. They had trivia game and the training room. The alternate costumes were actually different, not just color swaps. When you fought and used your specials, it felt strong, like wow you’re actually getting stronger. I’m sorry, MAU3 is very basic.

After seeing the reviews I am finally optimistic about the game. I'm a long time Marvel Ultimate Alliance fan that highly enjoyed the previous two games. I was worried that Nintendo was disappointed in the game because they have not really shown much of it or let the reviews happen earlier than the release date. I will probably buy it now! I also would really like to see the first two Ultimate Alliance games released on the Switch. I think it would be a lot of fun and it would be a great way for people to play as characters that were previously locked behind DLC or version exclusives.

Most depth I remember was tag team combos like fastball special and aerial combos on enemies, and that was as simple as you and a parter coordinate a button combo and run up an hit an enemy which will knock them into the air from which you could pull off your one or 2 aerial movies depending on which character you were

@@hypnobagels8634 You're also forgetting the grappling system (which is a beat-em-up staple btw), the items system and the variety of special attacks that were unique to each hero instead of the 4 that they give you in this game. You're right, it didn't have the most depth in the world, but at least it had something. Instead of expanding upon this they made it even more basic and button mashy with it's stat boosting based skill tree. Not to mention it looks like a goofy mobile game. Yeah, pass for me.

Especially for game that's the only draw is the combat. Depth and diversity is the key. And every good action/fighting game is trying to accomplish that. And im sorry but if you spamming the same combo, it means that you unxeprerienced or doesn't even try to learn combat system.

I agree with some aspects your saying and in alot of games there are combos that have faster Fram rates and you can execute them quicker to gain an advantage trust me I don't spam the same combos but in a fighting fame especially you need to create that opening so alot of the time you do start with spanimg the same combo but again it's still repetitive its like in soul calibur 2 using asteroth it's always a good opener to use the axe as a hook then start your combo or to push the player where you need them to ram them off the edge

I can understand a differing opinion, but I don’t think this game was meant for this reviewer. He wasn’t enthusiastic at all going in. You can tell. I’m not saying that some of his gripes aren’t valid, they are, but he obviously didn’t really care about marvel in general. I feel it’s a very fun game and lots to do and worth coming back for. Ultimate Alliance 2 was a huge part of my childhood and Me and My Dad Would stay up late just to play UA2 on my PS2 We couldn't get past the NYC Level where you had rescue Civilians and had to stop a bomb

For me, it was the Wakandan level. Me and my older bro would stay up until like 4 AM on the game just to have Hulk die because the enemies all swarmed him first, then the rest of our heroes become easy pickings.

Morbius is much more obvious. In my book, however, if you don't know an obscure character from a game, how can you call yourself a huge Marvel fanatic? It's like not knowing who Machine Man is or Jocasta, Hazmat, DarkHawk, Speedball, Firestar, Magik, Kate Bishop, Gauntlet or any character who had a popular, although niche, run in a series. I can understand Romulus or KIA who showed up once and never again, but not popular, albeit niche, characters. You just ain't really bout it, in my book, if you aren't, at least, vaguely familiar. I'm really not a fan of the idea of character DLC in a game like this. What used to be expected in a release are now cut out to be sold for a higher cost at later date. Ignoring that, though, I remember having a good time playing the original Ultimate Alliance with my brother on the Wii years ago, so I'll probably check this game out once it's cheap. Also, who's ready for a PS4/Xbox One release in half a year once Nintendo's exclusivity contract is up?

This game has 36 characters already, which is more than what the past two entries had even with DLC. 2 heroes are going to be given for free next month, and on top of that, for those twenty bucks, you can expand the roster to a whopping 50 heroes with new stories for them. While DLC practices can get out of hand, what this game is doing is anything but scummy.
