Black Eagles- well balanced between melee, magic, and ranged units. Variety of units. Golden Deer- 2 Extremely good archers and great mages complimented by decent melee units. Blue Lions- horses... horses everywhere.

The way I see it, the red house is the most challenging route, yellow seems to be the funnest, and blue seems to be the most interesting. Of course, I say this based solely on the personalities of the students but if there’s any good character development involved then we’re likely to encounter at least some of these elements since the red is very militant, the yellow is very laid back and personal-first, and almost every member of blue house has a tragic or at least depressing backstory. I’m very excited to play all 3 of these routes and see what the game has to offer(I personally like the golden deer, I also play Pokémon go on team instinct lmao I don’t even like yellow that much my fav color is red)

It's worth noting that like in echoes, not every unit learns the same spells. Lysithea for example learns different faith and spells compared to Marianne, Marianne for example can't learn warp, but Lysithea can. And for the record, Warp is disgustingly broken, it's only downside is it can only be used once a battle. But Lysithea has a crazy high magic growth and will easily be able to send somone halfway across pretty much every map in the game before act 2.

There are a few characters I like, but they're split between each house so I have no idea as to which house I should start from and recruit the rest. Also I'm kinda disappointed that there aren't as many characters that I like the look of in this one compared to Awakening or Fates. Still very excited to play this though!

If it wasn't for Claude, I don't think the choice would be very easy. But that leader, Lysithea, Marianne, and Hilda are all in the Golden Deer, so it's pretty obvious which one is the best. Memes or not, the Golden Deer is the only real choice.

My choice was made like this..... My favourite colour is BLUE I’m British - LIONS And I value honour, nobility etc. so with those factors I chose The Blue Lions rather than looking at stats and making my choice because let’s be honest they’ve all got pros and cons. And all the houses are pretty decent so I chose more on a personal level than looking at the stats and who might be good for what etc. And I’m happy with my choice.

I logic I went with is their system of government. You got your sorta mercantile city states confederacy (kinda like post Roman empire italy that ran on mostly powerful nobles and mercenary armies). Lots of crossing and double crossing in those arrangements. No loyalty besides the coin. A rather chaotic and unpredictable (and frankly unstable) way to run a nation. You got your Kingdom. Which clearly ran on traditional feudal system. It would have a strong national identity and a rather uniform culture. Subjects would be loyal and owe much to their king's protection and prosperity (much in the way of Marth). And finally you got your empire. Now empires ran and gotten so large (least the successful ones) because they knew they simply could not maintain all that territory without compromise. As such empires like the Persian and Alexander the great's empire had a policy of taking over the land. But generally gave the land his protection, their autonomy and vast and efficient trade routes across the empire. As such, knowledge, technology, resources (and most importantly money) are very efficiently shared without the imperial crown stifling matters or acting in such a large blanket manner as to say... offend or displease certain territories or cultures. But history has shown empires do eventually crumble as many colonies tend to wish for independence when the annual tributes/taxes levied to run the empire becomes too high for the local territory to handle (larger the territory, the more you have to pay to maintain a military to expand to keep sustaining itself or to just defend its vast borders). So obviously my choice was Edelgard because she is a cute.

After three days of deciding I got the game, and chose Black Eagles. At that moment I wasn't entirely sure, but after a few battles I was convinced they were the best choice for me. I've grown fond of my students, (not to mention one of them is really hot), and I stand for the Empire. But if you're having problems choosing, I'll give you a brief description of the house leaders, who kinda set up the mood in which you'll be playing the whole game: *Edelgard:* Slytherin decided to protect the Empire. *Dimitri:* All about justice and chivalry and trying to be nice all the time (trying). *Claude:* Don't take it seriously guys I just wanna have fun.

*Black Eagles:* The most unique story, and is the only house that has a branching story path, even if one of those paths kinda sucks. *Blue Lions:* Has the overall best cast, as well as the largest amount of drama and character development. *Golden Deer:* Has the overall best story, as well as the best maps and most satisfying ending. This one is my personal favorite.
