The sidescroller game you were talking about was ICEY and the pony game was PONY ISLAND.

I'd never watch a playthrough of someone else playing an andventure game, as I think that solving the puzzles myself is half the fun. So I'd rather watch someone play the Walking Dead just to experience the story, cause the gameplay is so lacking anyways. and as you mentioned the decisions you make does not really matter. Regarding second playthroughs, people often watch the same movie several times so I dont think its a problem that the puzzles always are the same (if the game has a good story and characters), if you remember them you can do them fast and if you have forgotten them, well then you get to figure them out again!

i would like to point out thats just your view....i havent played monkey island...but i would find the chiken puzzel pointles even skyrim puzeles make more sense to me... and i hapily watch walking dead franchize playtrough since i know no significant change comes from player choices... you say game gave you more value by making you play trough it twice and give you essentialy the same outcome...i say i would preffer if telltale games were a comic or an animation....they offer me no satisfiying gamplay elements other then story.

somewhere along the line gamers adopted mentality that number of hours spent on game equals its value...and i dont think thats a good thing since it sometimes seems to lead to developers streching the game

I agree with you, the telltale games would work just as well as a comic or animation. The stories are good, the gameplay is nonexistent.
