So basically would it be easier for me to get a monitor and tv to start. Have everything set up (programs and all ) and then build the cabinet. Luckily I’m a wood worker.
@sk8ersublime5 жыл бұрын
G.U.M yea that’s basically what I did. I had a TV and an extra monitor laying around so I played around with getting everything to work before building the cabinet. The problem was once I got it in a playable state I stopped working on the cabinet which is why it was so janky haha
@Cole_Douglas5 жыл бұрын
sk8ersublime awesome thanks. Oh and What kind of computer and programs did ya have to use. Sorry for all the questions
@sk8ersublime5 жыл бұрын
G.U.M the machine I had in this was old. I think it was an phantom X3 AMD chip or something like that. It originally had an 8800GT video card but I bumped that up to a GTX650Ti I ended up having as an extra. Check out visual pinball and future pinball vpforums.org is a great resource to start with.

You should raise the main screen above the flipper buttons that show up on the inner side of your cabinet.
@sk8ersublime5 жыл бұрын
I thought about that, but I didn’t like the screen flat against the “glass” kind gave me a sense of depth looking down into the cabinet to see the screen

looks great!! Great idea with the rail bars. I need to do that. I built myself a bartop one i'm still putting finishing touches on. Just had to buy a new computer for it cause im tired of laggy play and want to play more tables.

What are you using for the lock bar?
@sk8ersublime2 жыл бұрын
This was an old lockbar from a Bally game I believe, I got from a friend. I just drilled some holes on the side to screw it on to the cabinet.

I measured a Indiana Jones Stern machine at my local arcade for the measurements. The back box was modified to fit the tiny monitor I used. It should be around 16.5” in the front, 23.5 at the back and 51.5 long.

Sorry! More of just a very home built looking cheap vpin. The machine I had was pretty old, so digging up the cost now might be a bit difficult. Wood/buttons/controller interface/legs, etc was probably around $200

Screens way too low in the case, it will run the depth effect.

What do you think about my screen height in my 3/4 pin cab I set it at 2 3/4" low toward the back and 3/4" at front of the screen.

BackGlass is too laggy, I would Format and Start again, No Anit-virus or Anti-Malware running, and you'll see a different, my spec's are less and much Faster
@sk8ersublime6 жыл бұрын
never noticed an issue with the backglass other than slow loading during the menu select from time to time. I recently sold this pin so that will be something the new owner will need to work on if they have an issue with it.
