Ignore this guy giving the review, he is playing the game on easy mode and doesn't talk about the course creator, online multiplayer, etc. I bought this game a week ago, and I am still having fun with it today. If you like golf, then you will like this game. Visuals do not equate to fun, it's a "GOLF SIMULATOR" not "GOLF ARCADE", and it does the simulation very well. FYI: As a computer/software engineer, I can attest that having far more accurate physics is much more demanding on a computer than visuals.

Idk I like the game, however it showed me no one who developed it ever played golf in real life lol. I have a better chance of getting on these par 5s in 2 in real life than in a game lol, doesn't make much sense for considering pro to casual golfer difference. On top of it not making sense that just how hard of a follow through you have completely 110% dictates the type of shot you hit lol you don't just always hook the ball because you swing a little faster. Just not how golf works.

What about course creation? Big oversight not including this in the review. "The Golf Club" was known primarily for this and it's not even mentioned? How much of "The Golf Club" is retained in this game? I don't know because your review doesn't say. Not trying to be a jerk but this is a terrible review, missed on key issues and focused on trivialities.

Secure more player, course, and brand licenses, continue to improve the graphics and presentation, and this can potentially be amazing. Love this game. Best golf game in many years. Better than a lot of the current sports games that fill themselves with mini games and training and gambling mechanics to pump up micro transactions. This game is a golf game through and through and that’s what I want. Only negative is Single player career requires online connection.

This review is an absolute disgrace.. This reviewer should be fired.. He obviously has no idea what he is talking about.. In order to properly review a sport golf game like this you compare it to other recent golf games and from I've seen when I've played it it is a well rounded golf game that I found very challenging.. The only con is the graphics could be a little better but overall not a bad game.. I would have given this game an 8.5 out of 10

Awful review to be honest, its the best GOLF game on the market currently, reason for the caps on GOLF is cause there's nothing similar to compare it to, dont know why you would mention or even consider comparing it NBA or MLB, two complete different sports with completely different game play... the game play and swing mechanics with PGA although somewhat fraustrating and inconsistent it still provides a fun challenge and makes it a very good game! Others have also pointed out; no mention of course design or online societies or play.... its not a game for all sport gamers but its still nore deserving of a shitty 6 rating.

It was arcady at time yes but a hell of a lot more fun than heavy simulation oriented golf games where you can't even see your character progression with shit distance or anything. You can’t review games. It’s better then a 6. Online 1 vs 1 is good too and play against a ghost of yourself or another player for a better challenge. It’s deffo better then Rory and the golf club 2019. I give it 8 out of 10

I just picked this up in the sale on store but its does lack in some places but the gameplay feels great! Rewarding for hitting good shots and addictive. It's the best golf game I've played since tiger woods back in the day... I think I've they bring 2k22 with upgrades on this one including update in graphics, commentry and more depth and game modes also with next gen it possibly be the best golf game ever made. Defo worth the purchase

It's £2 per shot. £5 per club swap £30 for a caddy for 1 season. £4 for gas for your golf buggy and £2 if you want to change the weather. Season pass for £25 gets you blue trousers and a different colour ball. Hope this helps.

I disagree the game and sound are not that bad could be better but not that bad , after playing awhile I noticed things that really bug me in the rough seems to be no difference in the way the ball is hit to the green , and in extreme conditions like wind is a lot, or the way the green has a lot of slope it is never the same sometime the wind carry the ball far and sometimes not , there is no way to get a lock on it because it is never the same , also sometimes I can get back spin and sometimes not , the game main focus is that meter play on harder settings and the swing plain grows thinner why not just keep it the same ? it's nice to get different outfits and clubs as you progress but what about the the balls ? now when I go into just practice chipping it seems much better and realistic ball movement ? , would nice to see if I adjust my club before hitting and I hit it perfect it would be great to skip across water , and for some reason like days later and hours and hours the game would crash ? and ball roll , sometimes the ball will roll really far and sometimes not , again no way to get a lock on it , and yes I am a hotshots fan and yes this game is fun to play just wish it was better .

Picked up this game about 2 weeks ago for PS5. And honestly not that much difference from 2019 Version. Has it improved yes, but only a little. So if you have 2019 Version wait for a deal don't buy at full price not worth upgrade. $30 or less might be worth it.

Honestly bro... ok hesr me out on this. This is constructive criticism... you are playing the game on the easy mode.. amatuer or even the mode under that... of course the clubs all feel the same. And if you dont play golf you may not know what forgivnesd is and all that. Or maybe you do.. but i play on pro difficulty. And shot shaping is important. And if your lacking in consistency.. you may need to use a club with more forgivness.. me i have my swing down. So i go with thr clubs with higher distance and stuff like that... but when i was having an issue i used the clubs with high forgiveness... so really you arent going to get what the clubs do differently by playing the "easy" mode. But some of the other stuff in this is spot on. But before you talk about the clubs try out the other difficulties and then youll see the difference

I feel like your clubs should not make you do better. The skill comes from you learning how to play and not from unlockable items. It makes the game more balanced when you play people online. I wouldn't call that a negative thing at all. When you make a game at an even playing field for everyone even when you just start out, it makes for a better playing experience in my opinion.

Really poor review. This isn't the first review I've watched from this channel where the reviewer is really bad at the game (check out wrc 9 The final verdict from this channel) . You're playing on the easiest setting with all the assists turned on, that's why the clubs might feel samey to you. You're also slicing every shot to the right (you know we can see this right?) and the assists are helping you out. It's hard to take you opinion seriously when you're essentially playing an assisted tutorial every round you play. I can only speak for PC players but the load times are less than 10 seconds to load the entire course, not 5 minutes this guy is talking about.

But the visuals are pretty meh and there's not an overabundance of things to do. Thankfully my copy is from Gamefly so I'm not out $60, but I'd happily pay $35-40 for it.

He's playing on the absolute easiest difficulty. There are like 5-6 difficulties with the option to get rid of literally all helpers with a bonus in xp gain for everything you turn off. This was a horrible review from someone who doesn't even know how to play the game. He didn't even mention the course creator or figure out that he could have switched the freaking clubs for more forgivability and he should have upped the difficulty to make the clubs feel different and have to make the actual important decisions you have to when playing golf IRL.

But the way im taking this, especially based with how sports games are these days, everyone seems to care more about how the game looks, the menus and the cut scenes. As long as these are great, the game is great. Forget the game play. We get a game that is true to it's "simulation" moniker with great game play, but lacks in polish, and it's only a solid game. Tough crowd. I feel 2k has done a great job with improving an already spectacular golf game. They're bringing it into that "2K magic feel" at the perfect pace. I'll take this over EAs Golf game anyday. I can't wait to see 2k doing that magic in hockey again someday. We lost out with EA forcing only their NHL and NFL be made available for purchase .
