1. Soul fusion with mortal soul cores allows you to change the type of the soul core. You can for example turn the Yatsu-no-Kami Soul Core which is Phantom type by default to Brute type for some damage bonus, both from the Guardian Spirit (there are 3 that give damage bonus to each of the skill types) and from the Shiftling skill tree (matching types between GS and SC) 2. You can soul match Yokai weapons with soul cores 3. You can find lv. 170 soul cores (rare drop). Then you can souls match them with a Yokai weapon making it lv. 170. And then you can soul match this weapon with any weapon of your choosing making it lv. 170 4. Shuten Doji drops an Art of Combat skill for Odachi. Works like the Windmill skill for spear.

1. also Soul fusion the hell out of your weapons and armor... divine 160 soul fusion with divine 160 (+1) will make the former one a 160 (+1) soul fusion two divine 160 (+1)s and you get one 160 (+2) soul fusion two divine 160 (+2)s and you get one 160 (+3).... you can get up to +10 for both weapons and armors 2. get as many orange inheritables as you can get get as many usefull white inheritables as you can get upgrade the amount of special effects on your gear with white and orange inheritables find the orange inheritable special effect you would like to have on your weapon or armor increase its familiarity to max soul fusion it with the desired weapon or armor for your build... and this orange one will be added as a new effect and lose the inheritable icon ... this effect can be further tempered if you decide to do so if you do the same with the white inheritable, you will move this special effect as well, but the white icon stays, this means you cant temper the effect but you can still replace it with another white inheritable from a different gear peace where you maxed out familiarity for maxing out familiarity fast use Glue for armors, or Whetstones for weapons... this affects all equipped items so if you know you are going to use them, just quick equip all items where you would like to get familiarity to max so you dont waste the items...

Do the veteran omnyo dojo mission on NG+ for proficiency. Kill all enemies do some damage to the last one than die to him, it's better this way because you have wooden weapons in the dojo.

Future video tip: if you are out of omnyo talismans in multiplayer (already used shrine), buy an omnyo item from kodama bazaar and it gives you all omnyo items back! :D

Mortal cores also drop from the one eyed oni in its child for, if you kill it before it transforms and lucky enough to get it to drop

I know of 2 secret skill. 1 from Hideyoshi fight (Ultimate Sign of Cross) and that kappa guy Korokku (A kusarigama skill) where he leap in the air throws his chain and dive kick you..

It's called Fleeting Edge i believe ( In mid-stance , you Hurl your Switchglaive in Blade form 3 Times... kinda like the Odachi Skill from Magara Naotaka but a Switchglaive faster version ) 👌🏼 Hope you grind it , it's pretty worthy than Windswept honestly ( You could also Mix it up with that Switch Stance : Retribution with the additional High Stance Scythe horizontal swipe for pretty insane damage ) since you already are Full Divine 🔥.... I've killed her over a hundred attempts and I have not gotten it yet. The drop rate on it is very bad. I typically will take a break run it for 10 minutes and then come back later but no luck so far. It driving me crazy lol

@@GamingWithAbyss Yeah bro... no worries , i'm pretty sure it'll make me Crazy aswell 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️ But since you're fighting her without any Guardian Spirits / Yokai Souls / any typical buffed items are not Considered... and you can only Run with 3 Elixirs against her that's it ( Idk if there are Onmyo or Ninjutsu Passives that can upgrade your Luck + 5% i believe or so.... this will definitely Help on the longer run ) because it's Purely RNG with Mumyo when you fight her... and i'm pretty sure the Chance itself is Low like 10% for that skill to drop or even lower.... Keep Fighting her , eventually it has to Drop ( This is a Switchglaive Hidden Skill , that is Worth it since your a Main hand SG ) 👌🏼 Goodluck man

@@GamingWithAbyss Try scrolling through ( Samurai Tree , Ninjutsu Tree & Onmyo Tree.... i remember a Passive Skill that gives you something like +5 Luck i believe , this Passive still applies towards your Character Even against Dojo Bosses with Wooden Weapons.... all passives from those trees are implimented to your Samurai in Dojo Boss battle fights ) so if you grabbed such a Passive... it would surely Help in a way even if its a Tiny Push honestly lol 😅.... You wouldn't just trade 160 gear with Sudamas. It's easier to farm revenants for relevant pieces. However, you would trade 170 gear with Sudamas, until you get 170s for gear that matches yours.

Get Kodama soul cores, they are awesome IMO. Sodamas also seem to like Fragrant wood. Gives me Book of Reincarnation twice, noble dung balls, etc.

it depends you can really defeat the bosses easier on your first playthrough maybe take you a minute or two compared to New Game Plus

So in general it's just a grind for more grind for have maxed level for... get maxed level, and maxed gear for... maxed gear? Nioh is a good game that, however, leaves an ambivalent aftertaste. The most sad thing is that the significant part that allows you to construct at least sufficiently formed build becomes available only in the NG+ (like devine equipment and demon scrolls, for example), or just at the very end of the game (like "+" equipment upgrade mechanics, and almost all hight rank dojo missions for unlock skills which you would like to have at least the entire half of the game before that or much longer). I would like the game to allow a faster way to build a character such as the player wants to play, and allow you to play this way for at least the last 40%-35% of the game, but not like last 15-10%, or at the most worst case - newer ever at the first walkthrough. So that after you not repeating everything from the beginning only having slightly stronger enemies, without a special reason or desire to play more on the increased difficulty for the sake of more challenge.

when it's purple gear I noticed it would be a random weapon instead of the same. I haven't tested out a Divine weapon yet but I would assume it would give you the same type of weapon. I'm still trying to work on getting a full divine gear sets

when you get a Divine weapon or gear. You can Soul match a + 1 with another + 1 and you will get a + 2. Just continue to match the same number like + 2 + 2 to get + 3 and so on

Also, one advice on the divine gear: Don't disassemble it. I got more than 400 divine fragments without disassembling and i'm swimming in divines. You better sell them and stock up on money to temper and soul match the pieces to upgrade them. Also, the gear with a +1 is upgradable through soul matching, so don't sell it and use it to increase the quality of your weapons and armor.

@@GamingWithAbyss Offering divines at the shrine also rewards with lots of Amrita, so if you want some extra for leveling up go for it. But i advice to sell it rather than anything else. And invest as much patronage as you can on getting sell price up and each divine will get you between 90 and 100K gold depending on the piece you're offering (chestplates most expensive while bracers and footgear the cheapest)

they get put into whichever Guardian Spirit you are using. At any Shrine use Manage Soul Cores and click Attune Soul Cores then based on however much they cost, attach them to your Guardian Spirit (Which has a limit to how many it can hold) and Your stats can be increased a huge amount by doing it. And whichever ones you used to insert into your guardian spirit can be used as a special attack in battle (each one is different)

Matthew Kulchar under your Stamina bar there is a purple bar. Think of it like a special bar. This is the ANIMA gauge (not Amrita). fighting gets you anima charge and to unleash an ability hold R2 and press Triangle or Square to use the ability (Soul Core) you have equipped. I know my explanations suck lol

When you complete the game you unlock a new difficulty. Then complete the game on that new difficulty. Repeat until you unlock it
