Hi, USC Developer here, I also received this controller for review and some dev support and I just want to mention that USC will support the lighting mode mentioned at 8:22 in the future. This means that the game will be able to do things such as syncing the lights to the music and flashing the button lights with patters or anything else in menus and such. Great review btw 👍

I found a new secret key combination with the new faucetwo controller to go back into the rainbow mode but better. The new rainbow is fixes the weird scrolling when the knobs don't turn and high sensitivity on default knobs. The combination is: Start + BT-B + BT-C + FX-L + FX-R.

Just to add to the remark about the Omron switches; While cabinets in Japan do indeed use Omron switches, they use ones which are different from the ones Gamo2 offers with the controller. The cabinets use an integrated switch/lamp holder with a special Omron switch, which is not recommended for controller use as it would be incompatible by default, and they are not friendly for maintenance. As such, the Omron switches offered by Gamo2 are definitely the recommended option, but just note that these offerings aren't used in Japanese cabinets.

A minor correction: the usb-c cable is not required for the controller to function. The controller is fully usable with only the usb-b cable connected. Moreover, you can plug the usb-a end of the usb-c cable into an a phone charger or power bank (providing at least 1A current), which i prefer.

Just ordered one. I'm new to Sound Voltex and have only played a handful of times at Round 1, but I enjoy it even more than DDR/ITG which has always been my go-to. So I was wondering if you had any recommendations for anyone getting into Sound Voltex? I just discovered the game and didn't (and still don't) really know what I was getting into. I'm using the unnamed clone at the moment, and my keyboard (using a Dygma Raise) is actually kinda convenient to play the game with, but I'm wondering what I should do if and when I decide to spend money on a controller. So I have two questions: 1. Which software would you recommend to play/practice SDVX on (especially since there's not an arcade within a 3 hour drive that has a cabinet) at home? and 2. Which controller would you recommend someone new to the game use?
@kris-mn5yb2 жыл бұрын
Okay, that's a really late answer but K-Shoot Mania and USC are pretty similar and the one you use depends on preference (I personally use USC because of better skinning options and the fact that it's smoother and more stable than K-Shoot) or you could subscribe to Konami's e-amusement cloud and install an official release of SDVX on your pc (I think it's around 10 euros a month). And for the controller, as tokaku said, the Faucetwo is really really good for its price. I've been using it for months now and I have yet to have a problem with it. I know that Yuancon's controller is pretty good too (though you'd have to change the knob as they are pretty bad afaik) and might be cheaper depending on shipping price

@@zzlai6235 There's lots of sound voltex con DIY guide out there, the easiest way to handle those rotary encoders(aka knobs) would be wiring them to arduino-based controller chips, its fairy simple to self learn them nowadays.
