12:46 Chris misunderstood the painting. It is not the depiction of a angry human, it is the depiction of a angry android (you can see the glowing ring on the right temple on the painting). Most likely the repressed feeling of anger at how androids are treated by people.

This game is honestly scary, it puts you in uncomfortable positions where it forces you to do the morally right thing. I love it
@leftdoor23283 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say Detroit Become Human forces you to do the "morally right" thing, since morals are subjective by definition. I'd say it does something more powerful; it forces you to see the consequences of your actions -intended and unintended. Then you have to ask yourself if those "righteous" or "wicked" morals are as "good" or "bad" as you thought. It's an amazing way to open people's minds up. Honestly questioning and evaluating my beliefs is one of the most beneficial things I've learned to do at University. My family and I have have spent tens of thousands of dollars (USD) for me to learn that, and this game helps teach you it for just $60. What a steal, am I right?

I can't remember which, but there's actually a case law that would have cleared the homicide android. It basically states that if the defended is in a compromised mental state, from consistent mental and physical abuse, and law enforcement is unable to press charges for said abuse, the defendants actions can be deemed justified. The case in question I remember was a woman killed her abusive husband and fed him to the neighbors pigs
@PkmnLegendMaster3 жыл бұрын
The big concerns here is that that law would have been regionally specific or potentially overturned by later court rulings. But the real kicker? Human Laws would not likely be applied to androids. Instead it'd be humans applying laws to androids specifically and they'd be very specific/exact.

Nice touch. Also Connor’s name references “John Connor” in the Terminator films. (A.I. vs Humanity, Cyberdyne, which sounds a lot like Cyberlife.) There’s MANY MORE. What's sad is: (Spoiler) Since Alice is an Android that Todd bought to replace his daughter he lost custody of, there's actually nothing he's doing legally wrong here. From our world's perspective, that's kind of disturbing that someone can just buy a placeholder for a family and use them as a violent abuse outlet, but I guess the "bright" side is that he's not hurting real people. But then from their world's perspective, we learn that Android do gain a level of emotion and free will. Therefore this is still extremely upsetting. Aside: Is Alice even ever a deviant? Technically acting as a loving child to her caretaker is her programming.
