Even the devs call Sandstorm arcade shooter based in reality, trust me this is 95% of the discord, this game wan't meant to be realistic. Also IRL door stack is genius, IFG (in fake game) door stack means multi kill from bot grenade since they can see through walls and have aim bot. This is 90% of the Sandstorm discord lol.

i mean 50000 gear is really nothing compared to the air force stuff that's in billions. so giving them to special forces is peanuts. if you are a small country with 10 billion to spare: _always_ put your money into land forces, never in air or sea. those are incredibly expensive to buy & maintain and you get practically nothing for your buck, modern air&sea is meant for attacking superpowers. with just the price of two f35, Finland could cover the whole country in surface-to-air air defense missiles. and mines, never forget those, they are so good in defense with a budget. with the price of one f35, you can arm a company. and the local militia forces into every town, don't forget those, either. 500k in arms is a whole different ball game than 100k in arms. MBT-law costs 20000 euros per a single shot, but it can take out a 3 million tank, or 20 million attack helicopter. just one land-based 300 million Russian s-400 can lock into 64 different air targets and fire at the same time, 2 missiles per 1 unit. our Finnish forces are using 10 billion to buy 64 airies and 2 ships, which you can guess, I'm pretty miffed up. in a real fight, those airies can't even get up before the airstrips are smart bombed and ships are busted. It's just politics to suck up the u.s. like the last hornet buys in the 90s in the middle of an economic depression. it was incredible then and it's incredible now.

During my military service in Finnish defence forces, I heard this story from Arrow military exercise held in Finland. Where a Finnish scout conscript was tasked to scout out American tank defences, and he was able to take a selfie with Abrams M1 tank. Later he showed the picture his superior and they send the picture to the leader of the American unit on the exercise. They weren't pleased with their own perimeter security 😂

I have to strongly disagree on that. My buddy and I always play the hardcore Co OP servers, most of the time you got a pretty nice team with tactical players. Makes it very immersive and fun. Ofc sometimes you get the rambos but at least in hardcore that's thankfully mostly not the case

That's what Siege aimed to be when they announced the game, but that's not the actual game that was delivered. The breaching was heavily toned down for 'balance' reasons, I get that, the problem was the E3 announcement, but that's what Ubisoft does: lie a lot. Gotta, Siege in pretty underwhelming when it comes to gun play, realism, etc. compared to Insurgency.

A small detail i love about this game is the dead bodies arent always dead, depending on how much damage you inflict, the person you shot's body will sometimes still be alive and rolling around in pain on the ground and if you shoot them again or in the head they will fully just die and stop moving

Absolutely agree. That was my first thought after the video ended and when they were reacting to some of the more tactical moments in the video. If they can find some more recent Squad clips with all of the vehicles, commander support, helis, air strikes, etc, they would have enough reaction content for half a dozen videos easily lol. Squad is totally underrated on the FPS market right now.

The combat is super generic in spec ops so make sure you don't focus on that too much and more on the story elements like white phos, and really all the story beats and the ending for sure. Spec ops is not a good "game" its a "good" experience.

They'd probably laugh at the mortar with no ammo anywhere around it that fires 3-pound shells with the effects of 100-pound howitzer rounds which inflict totally impossible burns on people. And a mortar team where one guy is aiming, loading and firing while the other two guys just shout extremely vague commands at him. And the idea that a three-man team with no packs would be tasked with searching an entire city. And the idea of a three-man team with two crew-served weapons. And so on.

They missed out on all the good part of this game....A-10....Minigun Support, SHIT ton of enemy Snipers camping the fuck out of a point while you relentless trying to even GET ACROSS the fucking street ! Or you're in a room, all sudden you hear a Frag Grenade toss into the room with you..... And of course my favorite...when you're peaking through a window, all sudden you hear your character / teammate screams " RPG ! " which most the time you be dead the moment you hear those words....

The game is indeed great. I just wish as a former infantryman it worked exactly how it did in the real world. Real gamers will beat former military no problem here. Reaction times work very differently in the gaming world, and I'm too old to keep up with the youngsters with their better handling of mouse or controller sensitivity.

@@nate654 there are some arma 3 communities that do operations that are extremely realistic in regards to goals, layout, arms and tactics and the matches can last several hours. Some but not all also make all team deaths permanent for the match, so if you die during a 3+ hour match thats it for you, so it makes you take death and damage very seriously. I think its the closest you can get in a video game to the fear of life and death you get in the real world

Oh here we go, people trying to compare dick sizes. If you know anything about or are in the military you would know this doesnt blow over well. Everyone has their missions and execute them well. Training in controlled environments helps, but nothing trains like experience.

Seeing good breach and clears, pieing around corners, even using their own sectors of fire is cool. Funny story for me, regarding them talking about paying the taxes. I was shooting in my local archery shop and a couple of guys came in and were talking about their service between shooting/lunch etc. So I paid the range fees for them as a thanks, but both actually came and thanked me. This kind of put me aback, cause I really wasn't expecting that. I asked them why they felt like that, and they said they know that without people like us, they wouldn't have the uparmored humvees that saved the one mans life, or the aircraft that helped them get back home safe etc. Was really touching.

​@@lukewarmwater6713 With Insurgency Sandstorm I can barely nail a constant 75fps at low-mid settings on my rig, which is 2-3x more powerful than the base xbox one. Its not well optimized at all, and they'll definitely need to optimize it further if they want anything more than 30fps for the standard xbones. Most multiplayer shooters try their best to target 60FPS so if it were to run at half that, it could very negatively impact sales. The average gamer cares a lot more about framerate than they did a decade ago, or hell even half a decade.

The thing I love about this game are the moments in between the small movements, like switching weapons, mounting, vaulting, throwing equipment, or reloading. It can either be the most perfectly timed sequence or it can mean disaster. Really creates tension in every move you make.

I was an infantry mountaineer, and we had quads :P I remember one guy losing his, and the sergeant forced him (and his partner) to walk all the way back and not to come back until they've found it. It was freezing winter and dark outside. I believe they found it after only a couple of hours (lucky for them) :P hehe!
