Doesn't really matter. None of them actually know how to play any of these games but button mashing a few of the basic moves. They should bring an actual player, doesn't even need to be that good, to play these fighting games and they can react to them. That would be better imo.

Yeah, while presentations they did were like "we'll try to reach for more mainstream audiences", that was basically a lip service. Really they knew they were making a product targeting their dedicated fans (with all the quirks that entails) and that can be felt in many ways.

It was advertised a bit but a lot of the community didn't like the route they were taking with microtransactions among other focuses that weren't in the best interest of the game. Some of the community is keeping it alive through tournaments but i feel it was a step down from 5 imho.

@@ryujisusapphire9511 yeah i know, i'm a huge KOF fan as well...but i just feel like they wasted space with guests in DOA 6. and why were some characters DLC only when they were totally free in DOA 5 Last Round (or whatever it was called). in Last Round people like Rachel, the female Tengu and Momiji you got FREE. In this they charge you for them...WTF is that about. Then the brand new character in this with the blue hair is also DLC (not the scientist chick but the other one) Tamaki i think her name is. I was never able to get Tamaki because i bought DOA 6 BEFORE she came out...and now she isn't available to me.

It's great to see Dead or Alive getting at least some attention thanks to its obvious appeal. But I wish more people would realize that it's a legitimately good fighting game series as well. I know it may be difficult to believe, but it is true, particularly when it comes to some of the earlier entries. DOA5 is a prime example and probably one of the best 3D fighters ever made.

Filthy casuals observing from the outside won't realize it's a good fighting game because they assume it's all boobas. I've played all sorts of fighting games and I can confidently say that it's one of the best in the genre. The game isn't meant to appeal to the lowest common denominator and that's just fine, this way you know you have a player base that's actually dedicated and appreciate the franchise for what it offers. The game is obviously doing something right if it's still around.

I’m glad they focus on DOA more so than other fighting games. Because DOA doesn’t get the attention and respect it deserves. People complain about how they are cash grabbing But have you seen Apex legends! $18 dollars for a skin. AND $160 dollars for a god damn heirloom. This game is nowhere near as a rip off. I hope DOA7 come out soon!

Actually, the throws are what deals the most damage in DOA, especially if they counter a hold. They can deal up to 50% the entire life bar. That's how you punish people that abuse holds x)

This game actually has some very deep mechanics. I know there's boobs and stuff but there is a pretty interesting RPS system between strike, counter, and throw and every character plays differently. Game is fun. You can play it for free too so yeah.
