The difference between the pro and the leap is that the leap has internal magnets on the brackets so it has kinda of a 3x3 magnet mechanism

I got the Gan 251 M 2x2 and it's a creaky brittle feeling mess. Worse 2x2 I own in terms of feel. I can't get excited about these.

These do feel more solid than the original in my opinion, I would recommend the Pro version. If you don’t like the original though the Air would be way too light for you
