Mahabharatha Anusasana parva 115: 5 reads "Ahimsa Paramo Dharma, Dharma Himsa Thadaiva Cha ". This implies that Himsa for protection of Dharma is also Ahimsa. Our great Rishis envisaged Kshatriya Varna to safeguard Dharma even by force. They also advised to kill Athadayis in so far as they do not deserve mercy. Athadayis are those doing six kinds of Adharma. Hence it can be surmised that Gandhian Ahimsa is alien concept and un acceptable. Appreciate Sri Balakrishnanji for this bold presentation.
