Hey Bhai, I'm an Indian from South Africa, coming from a half Tamil and half Hindu lineage. But I grew up Christian since a baby. I'm 30yrs now and recently I've been questioning everything about life and religion etc. I've been following Hinduism for the past few years because of my daughter who is special needs. She connects alot with the deity's and is so calm when mantra's are played. A few weeks ago i had an amazingly beautiful dream where I feel like I've been enlightened by lord Shiva's powerful energy in it's highest form, very similar to the colors in my logo... Since then I'm watching all your podcast and finding out so much of what I'm going through and experiencing. Today i did the Ganesh puja/prayer. It was a beautiful experience and i feel so much closer to Shiva Mahadev through Ganesha. Om namah Shiva'ya 🕉️🙏🏽❤️

Yup Ganesh Visarjan is neither tantric not Vedic ritual. Therefore it's more or less just a community uniting ritual. Normally saints just performed pooja for Ganesh ji on Chaturthi and people hear Ganesh katha

Also as a Maharashtrian and a Punekar i would like to tell you it's been years that majorly everyone gets eco friendly ganpati idols at home (made from "shadu mati") and the visarjan is done at home.
