An aerial journey of the Ganga valley from above Dharali village.
Dharali is a small hamlet located at a distance of about 6 kilometres from Harsil and 1 kilometre from Mukhba village. Dharali is a picturesque village which is known for its apple orchards and kidney bean cultivation. The pine trees in the village add on to the natural beauty of the place. The village is located on the banks of river Bhagirathi which is a tributary of the sacred river Ganga. It is also known as “winter home for goddess Ganga”. There is a temple of Lord Shiva which is one of the major attractions of Dharali. It is believed that sage Bhagirath meditated at this place to bring sacred river Ganga to flow out of the heaven into the Earth.
