Gangrel was a beast in the ring. i always enjoyed watching him work. as a kid i didnt know it was fake but even now re-watching on peacock i can say he was definitely one of the best performers in the ring.

Love the channel and the content gangrel. its funny cause ive always loved that segment with the brood cause as you are struggling you can see edge smiling like a kid as if he knows exactly what he is about to do, and then the moment he snags the mike and starts talking your eyes get huge with excitment from realizing he abandoned the script. I LOVE the attitude era, i think im the only teen in my generation (16) that still watches.. or, rather attempts to watch 1998-2000s wrestling. And im a massive fan of The Brood and the whole stable! As well as the feuds it had. I walked into wrestling clueless and thanks to The Brood it helped me ease in. I will now be buying a pvc trenchcoat and sick glasses and will run around in the dark like a lunatic. I only live once.

Another example of writers writing something that they think sounds great in their head but doesn’t translate to vocal delivery and also not understanding who they’re giving it to. None of the brood had the voice to do the deep, mysterious delivery like the Undertaker.

Thanx for sharing your experience I respect your honesty, I think your hearts in the right place and your ego is inviting not repelling like some other wrestlers.

One thing that I can say as a smark who does a lot of research is that most Attitude Era wrestlers definitely had scripts at several points. However, superstars like The Rock and Austin would intentionally botch tapings so that everyone in administration would be forced to let them cut the promos live. Scripts seemed to be less standard, depending on what tier a superstar was in.

I grew up on rap. Not much a rap fan these days. More into rock now. If I listen to rap it'll be everything in the 90s on back. Simply because of nostalgia. But for me a few of the best rappers were Bone Thugs N Harmony. You know some of the best characters was Gangrel, Edge and Christian. They all gave me this Lost Boys kinda vibe. Gangrel was David, Edge was Michael and Christian was Sam. That's how I kinda looked at it. Only character I could think of right now that was on the same level as Gangrel, Edge and Christian is Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family. Dude kinda had the whole backwoods psycho, Rob Zombie thing going on. That woulda been Awesome if the Brood came back together to face off with The Wyatt Family. Vampires vs Backwoods Psychos.

Love Bone Thugs! Though as I've gotten older, I've got to admit I don't think they're great lyricists. They had good flows and made good music, but I think lyrically, all of them could be pretty woeful at times. Krayzie was maybe the only exception.

I really liked the downward spiral/flatliner, it is one of my favorite finishers. But I think Edge loves making tributes for his friends (we saw that when he did the bloodbath and Brood entrance). I imagine when he used the impaler, he was giving a nod to Gangrel. It makes sense for Edge to use it considering Gangrel was his (in and out of character) mentor during the Brood days.

@@roadkillz78 not everyone knew how to take the downward spiral it looked weak at times for example when he hit vader with it it looked strange. Vader sold it funny. R truth and Kanyon. Had better variations of that move in my opinion.

I always saw it as a tribute to Gangrel, the same way Christian used to do the spear as a tribute to Edge, I remember Edge used to do versions of the Edgeucution where he lands in a more facebuster position back in 2001-2002.
