RE: "Everyone just targets me" When I used to be decently rated (S8/9/10/11) and had the elite gear on, it was like painting a giant target on my own back. I LOVED it though. The amount of 1v5 situations that you end up winning feels so good. Unfortunately now the skill gap between "bad" players and "good" players isn't as large so strength in numbers means a lot more.

I wish I had the play time to have stayed relevant. I miss the community at the top. The community at the bottom is pretty wholesome. The community at the top has friendly rivalry and we always had a great time slamming each other and getting slammed and it was just so good. Everything in between (which is kinda where you get stuck if you don't have the time to push hard) is really toxic and it sucks. That's why I had to quit and stay quit. Still love the content. I'll send you some more band-aids on tich if I ever resub ;-)

It's not the skill gap it's more that Gear in PvP means less. When resilience mattered Pre MoP I could comfortably 1v3 but after MoP evem 1v2s are a hard time. So it's more about gear difference than skill gap.

@@Fr33mx I would agree to an extent. Also prior to MoP we had dozens of abilities, and individual ranks for spells (prior to cata) and being able to utilize all of your tools gave you a substantial advantage in pvp combat. Now we have a very small set of tools and its difficult to utilize the 5 tools you have better than another player since you both only use 5 tools. When I gave TBC classic a shot I was able to 1v5 in greens and blues against premades because they were just demonstrably terrible at the game and didn't use their full toolkit.

@@ZeroX252 Dunno about that one. It only benefits casters. Pretty much no melee utilize that. It's true that many tools have been removed but those that stayed were updated and got better. Like Combustion in MoP was its best version and I really wish they didn't change that version of fire mage so much. I don't miss having. Icelance on fire mage. It would be good to take off warriors' spell reflect but it's kind of unfair since it's not hard to do. You also can 1vX easier since other classes are just generally worse. Hunter vs mage is one sided after MoP sincd there's no melee or deadzone for them. And warriors got more mobility so it's not so one-sided like it was in WotLK. A good mage never loses to a warrior and that's just unfair. I do think they pruned too much but classes definetely are much better than they used to be.

@@goodknight6828 ice lance only good when target is frozen, then it hits triple regular dmg, and crits if have shatter talent. People trinket (or druid shape shift) out of nova root quite a bit so it's not as easymode as you think.
