Imo Luke showed the utmost confidence and poise in his game up until his approach on hole 16 when the disc "fell out of his hand" and came up short left of the pin. The fact that Gannon did the same tho gave Luke another chance, especially seeing Gannons tee shot on 17 end up well short and right, with that Luke had an opened door but again, he showed nerves with an early release and landing even farther back the Gannons bad tee shot. Those 2 throws from Luke were the tournament imo. Gannon is winning not only because his all around strong game, but also because his mindset in these pressure situations. He has the experience of knowing what the "other side" looks like, whereas Luke and Ezra do not in those situations. Also, i was hard on Gannon earlier this year about his attitude after spit outs and he read my comment and im glad he did, so should he read this comment, i want to say that ive seen a big improvement in his overall attitude when things arent going his way, it shows in his game and obviously with the winning hes doing. It was meant as constructive criticism then, so I got to give credit, where credit is due. Good job young man!

it was a mind boggling hole from luke there. You gotta think playing it safe is the play after seeing gannon's mistake. Hopefully his decision making in pressure situations improves
@feelthepayne884 ай бұрын
He made the bad choice of going for it instead of making Gannon go for it. He should have played 17 safer. He would have had a chance of making it to a playoff and securing 2nd place at least. 17's green is insane.
@triple_five_soul64394 ай бұрын
@feelthepayne88 I agree with that, but my point was that the damage mentally and to his game was already done prior to that throw, from his 2 previous throws being 1: his approach on hole 16 and 2: his tee shot on hole 17. I can't even blame his throw honestly because his throw was the product of his mental game in that situation, the same thing that we all saw on his approach on hole 18 at Waco, which by the way he was even lucky to have the lie he had for that approach shot because he actually early released his tee shot on that throw as well but it got lucky as hell and went though the two big tree trucks, it could be easily hit that tree and Gannon could've walked that one in. It's obvious Luke puts Gannon on a pedestal, both as a friend but mostly as a player, he shoes that every time Gannon is on GK Pro Skins, I wonder if that is where the pressure subconsciously comes from in those situations, if it isn't all self induced subconsciously. Anyways, just my take on it all. At least it was exciting to watch.

There is a course on Catalina Island which has ancient baskets with like actual barnacles and sea muck that catch everything! Seems like they are made of clay when you throw at them and makes a thumpy lumps sound when hit.

Sponsor rankings request: Add Golds, Silvers, and Bronze counts for each. More accessible to understand the success of the sponsor's players, vs. "36 points". Even if its not used to crown the winner, would be interesting to hear.

What if the entire basket is still metal, but the center pole is either a softer plastic or has a cushion that absorbs the disc instead of bouncing it off the pole?

Older baskets spit out more if you ask me. I always notice the practice baskets which get used much more tend to spit out more than those on the course, of the same brand and model. Probably just has to do with how often they hit the target and with pace.
