The week before this event, Major flew out to a tournament in my region and if I can say one thing that makes his Ganon different: his offstage game. I can count the amount of times I saw him edgeguarded on one hand. He's so good at mixing up his fastfalls and double jumps.

Ganondorf is so fun, its so sad how low tier he is in every Smash. IDk why they couldn't buff him even a little... At least make it so his forward B can be used with his up B to recover. Plenty of other characters who can do that. Just give him that would raise him a tier.

Some things I realized about the first set (haven’t made it through all of it yet) Idk if Tickle plays solo Pyra, but it really felt like there were opportunities to switch to Mythra, such as after getting a good opening hit where now Pyra has made up for the attack size and has put Ganon in tumble, allowing a free switch and easy ways to get in and set up Mythra stuff. If it’s solo Pyra tho then mad respect This is one thing I noticed about Major. Because Ganon has a pretty bad recovery due to Ganons air stats, Major not only understands fast falling and recovering as a whole to a T, but also sometimes he’ll overshoot ledge under the stage so he can ride up the wall reversed, hitting anyone too close with the punch to send offstage, and *for the most part* having a safe recovery still while being aggressive, and knowing how to perfectly space grabbing ledge right after the punch in case he misses

But that was in melee when we had wave-landing tech to support us. also, later in the video it was hard to tell if the upsmash out of shield would hit-it may have been just been out of range after that smash attack from Shulk.

I feel like out of all top tier archetypes, Ganon does best vs swordies because they usually don’t have the best combos (def not touch of deaths), usually not the best recoveries so Ganon can get some early edge guards, not the fastest framedata so they can’t just smoother Ganon and stop him from playing the game, and while they can keep him out, not as well as zoners.

Not really impressed with the pyra play, he easily could have won that if he knew how to mess with Ganon recovery at all. Also, gonna say pyra only is dumb against Ganon. Ganon WANTS to trade hits with other slow heavy hitters. Mythra would eat him alive. He'd never be able to catch her, her moves can easily stuff him out of up b early, her side b would be able to recover horizontally against Ganon for free in many of these situations, you can foresight through nair, and even if you're gonna scared edge guard you can just up b and shoot those projectiles out that Ganon simply can't deal with.
