In the bathroom scene, when Sam says "such a mess" it's not because she really thinks that of Mon, it's because there is an issue with Sam, in which she tends to say the opposite of what she really means, if she said "such a mess" what she probably said is "you’re beautiful" or something like that. That’s why this scene focuses on Mon’s face, because it’s Sam’s pov. About the Sam's issue that I’m talking about, it may be explained later in the series, but it’s because of how she was raised.

*Grandma is stuck in her old ways. It's hard to change her mind about a lot of things. Also, as someone directly descended from royalty, Grandma wants control on how things should go. In the next episode, you'll be given more background about their family so look forward to it. * I think Mon's mom is just a mom being a mom. She has been taking care of her baby all her life, so setting her free is a bit hard for for her even if she's an adult. I think it has also to do with Asian culture being family-oriented in general. * If I remember correctly, Mon was fully Thai in the novel, so we were surprised to learn when Becky said that she's gonna be Thai-British in the series. They were hard- pressed on finding the right actor to play her dad.So, in the series she has stepdad and her bio dad is in England (mentioned but not shown), I guess this is their way of circumventing it. Great reaction as always. You notice important details and pay attention to dialogue. One of the best in the game, really 😆 I think Sam's status as a Mhom Luang (her ranking title) , where you can pretty much trace her lineage back to royalty will play a crucial role in influencing events in the series. I noticed it in some instances in this episode,first when Mon said she is a "well-mannered" person and that word has multiple implications and particularly in that scene where they had a welcoming party for Mon wherein she gets to eat first before everybody else. Everybody addresses her as Lady Sam or Lady Boss unless you are close to her then you get a pass.😂 And as you said, hierarchy is also part of it. Kirk and Sam's dynamic is different compared to the novel. She can't stand him in the novel and the reason for the engagement was different so I'm looking forward to see where they are going with this. Nop, my boy, can't take a hint. Can't wait for the encounter with Sam. And as usual we can't stand Grandma. But that scene was also important to give Sam's character depth and also talk about issues that are still very prevalent despite living in a modern world. Last but not least, can't thank them enough for their chemistry. Sometimes you have a show where you can have the perfect script, A+ acting, cinematography is amazing but they don't have chemistry, it kinda ruins the whole thing for me tbh. Thats all for now. Great reaction as always Vicky!!! I'm glad you had this reuploaded after following the guidelines they have for reaction videos. This episode was really well made, and it gives you this craving to know more, see more, and look forward for the next one. EP 2 was great as well, I can't wait to see your reaction on that one. This series is now my "looking forward" to every Sat, cause the story line and the way they delivered it and how they make you want to know what's next is really good. On the start of the episode, on how Mon imagine Sam as an artist/idol performing is a hyperbole of how Sam has always been Mon's idol even though she isn't really an "artist". And how the people surrounding Mon accepted the fact the Sam is her idol like how other people like her friend "Yuki", go gaga over artists/idols. It's not weird that she's crazy over this woman, like oh it's just idolization thingy and not that she's actually in love with Sam, so we'll see how the story goes. Based on the web novel, after Mon's family took care of the dog, Sam continues to check up on the dog for awhile, but it did stop on some point. As for their age gap, I think Mon is 22 or 23, and as mentioned on this episode Sam is turning 30, so they at least have 8 yrs of age gap. Kirk, really does genuinely care for Sam, he does really like her and has been Sam's childhood friend. And it's funny how you notice how Sam keeps looking at Mon's lips, that is a vital of this story, look forward on this. For your question with regards on what is on Sam's arm, that's actually a tattoo, in real life Freen likes dogs, and that is a mini dog paw tattoo. That's why when Freen visited Becky on her house one time, she reason out it was because she wanted to play with Bonbon (the dog on this show). Which is being questioned by Nam, because Becky's house is really opposite side of Freen's condo, and is really far and has a lot of traffic congestion, like really just to play with the dog you went and travel that far. 🤣

Welcome to Thai dramas 😂 they actually made this drama more light with a bit of comedy, a lot of thai dramas out there would make my blood boil every episode. 😅 There's a lot of cultural thing here, I'm the same age as Mon (22) just graduated and my mom doesn't want me to move out and work somewhere far. I know it's crazy 😂

As i was saying before i got shadow banned 😆 First, thanks for the reaction Vicky. You do not just react for the sake of reacting. You look at the context and ask questions. Sam getting to eat first and her employees not quitting despite being dissatisfied with her has something to with her high standing in their society, I think. Since, she is a descendant of royalty, people around her are mindful of that hierarchy. I live in Asia and my parents also pressure me and my siblings after graduation, getting a job at a good/prestigious company is a top priority irregardless of the working conditions etc. Status and prestige is very important in Asian culture. I also presume it would look very good in your resume. Plus, your boss is a royal descendant. This is just my take on it. Yeah you nailed two of her biggest issues, communication and her having a hard time saying NO to her Grandmother. When you grow up in a unhomy, repressed, and a home lacking affectionately, it's not that hard to understand her actions. But we gays love a complicated character, don't we? 😆 LOL glad you also enjoyed Sam's humor, she is unintentionally funny. She is very straightforward and can sometimes be rash and tactless. Hey Vicky! Last year of undergrad is kicking my butt, but lol, I'm here nonetheless. I hope all is well and that you're doing good. I just wanted to say thank you for this reaction and I don't have much to say because this series, although as of the moment I type this, there are only 2 episodes out. This series really has a lot going and I appreciate that it isn't a throwaway (stereotypical) story that we're getting from recent BL stories, with the exceptions here and there. Obviously no need to compare, I say that because aside from the moments where they are caught up in each other, they haven't really taken what we have seen in the BL universe and put it here, which I'm thankful for. I love that we get an original story from an original book, and they have played off of it so well. This series is starting to be known by even more people and I'm so glad to see people getting to know these wonder lead ladies, as well as the whole cast in general. I'm so looking forward to the upcoming episodes and, hopefully, your reaction to them as well. Thank you again for another video and I look forward to the next!

I don't think that Sam deserves all that hate at the Office. I think the employees are the ones that behave like school children and are always slacking off.it figures that they admire more the "boss" who just shows at the office to bring presents and take them to dinner, and not the boss who is everyday working there and is the last One to leave the Office everyday. Also they lack character to speak up, Mon is the only one acting normal. Of course Sam is the most socially ackward boss ever. And She shouldn't have fired that couple in front of everyone and should at least done it in private. It was too harsh to fire someone just because they are dating, but even if there was no rule about dating, its unprofessional do be kissing in the office.

My house now has a lot of windows and I love it, full of natural light most of the day but I don't really have neighbors and a lot of pace so it works out. Regarding, communication, yeah she is terrible at it. I was so annoyed by that because I am huge on communication with my wife and everyone in general in my life.

I was so amazed by the lead actresses on this series., i was recently broke up with my ex gf who go back with her ex bf 😢 sad but its not the first time i experienced this heartbreak.. so happy to bump this content of yours, hello everyone in here.. hope we enjoyed mon and sam love story.. simple lesson, despite of what happened in/our love life, this series tells me/us to believe in love again that one day there's one person who will love you and cherish you wholeheartedly.

Hey! Great reactions to watch. But can you perhaps fix one detail in the reaction videos you do. Talking about the black square which appears then you say something about the video sometimes blocks or say hide part of the video you are reacting to and sometimes also blocks or say hide the translation to english then the people in the video are talking. Perhaps the one third part of the black square to the right can be removed. The one which do not include any subs then you are talking. Asking as I like using subs watching reaction videos. Can something be done? I hope so. Wishing you a good day.

In the future reactions to the series you should be able to see the subs better 😊 I had to make the video smaller at first because Idolfactory kept blocking my video but eventually I got the hang of it and now the videos are much bigger.

@@vickyreacts I don’t who in family said this, but they said the youngest are closer to god because they were sent here recently, and the older you get, obstacles get in the way so you’re relearning God. So by feeding the younger ones your honoring them as a gift from him. But if you ask my cousins around my age it’s just cause kids whine and the older you are more patience you have.
