I remember one manufacturer that recommended setting the gap with engine running and up to temperature. The gap depended on the amount of drag when moving the feeler gauge.

Interesting, how would you actually gap them with the Rocker moving? The temperature I get but while the engine is running? I'm sure there is a trick to actually do it, but I'm not sure it would be my cup of tea to do it that way personally.

Glad it helped. Like I said it's just a different way so might suit some people but not everyone. All about the end result really
