Skandoor removed our 2 single garage doors and replaced them with a double sectional door in 6 hours. Shot from inside our conservatory to avoid dust, resulting in unwanted reflections. Sony A6400 on S&Q mode.

Nice work. It amazes me how many ppl get so accustomed to not wearing any gloves and more importantly safety glasses. Mind boggling how little regard people have for their eyes in particular. One wrong move or spark, etc and blind forever.

Why was this NOT built like the after result in the first place?!?!? The resulting double sectional door makes the space USEFUL. I can't figure why people don't build things right the first time! No matter, you got what you need done. I love this video. I was just wanting to see how this gets done.

I want to do the opposite someday. A few years ago a spring broke on my double and I was trapped with both cars inside. Can't lift the double with a bad spring, a single I could have. Plus, a sinlge can use extension springs found at all the home stores.

Very impressed with your video and your workers skill levels. Could you please tell me the size of the beam they used to span the opening, its thickness, hight and the width of opening.
@darknes7800 Жыл бұрын
It would not matter what beam he used. The I beam is specifically selected by the engineering firm, to support the load of his garage. A beam for your house / garage would be different.

The doctor checks him out and says: "Well apart from a crushed toe, vibration white finger, that glass eye and emphysema you're fine, did you by any chance work on replacing garage doors back in 2023?" The man says: "What?" Doctor: "Oh, and you need a hearing aid."

I feel like this is an obvious question but didn't see it answered in the comments. How do you know it was structurally safe to remove that brick pillar in the middle?
@timbishop406310 ай бұрын
The brick pillar was supporting the ends of the original 2 light weight beams - one for each gap - you saw them being removed. A survey calculated how heavy duty the single beam needed to be - it looks pretty strong to me though I wasn't involved in the calculation. One pessimistic commentator suggests it will all collapse - I promise to upload a new video if he proves to be right. Anyway, my glass is half full!
