Hi guys, excellent video. I’m fitting the same one but had to buy the extender kit. The new belt seem too long so when I put it up the belt was hanging down. I did tighten it to the specified 36-38mm. Did you have the same issue? Thanks Mike

Mike, No we didn't have the same issue. Sounds like the belt isn't correct for the extender kit. Cheers Geoff

You would have to ask yourself, "why did the shaft break?". Did you check the balance of your door as I never saw you open the door or close the door manually. The door must be balanced or you will fry or break another motor due to excessive load..

It a good question. it me it look like half the shaft had been cracked for years as some of it was rusty. However the balance of the door was fine could lift it up and down with one finger.

@@thekiwiway when released and opened halfway it should balance, not go up and not fall down.

Yeah my one my springs snapped, got "professionals" to install those. Now my motor isn't remembering the fobs. New batteries new fobs. Cant just use the manual button onnthe unit now. All about 10 year old. Got this new unit doing some research before I install. New unit and new spings should be amazing
