Glad you gave that wall another coat. I was like "Oh since it's his firs time painting, he's probably not gonna pick up on it", but it came out very nice! Awesome space, and love the support and team work you give each other.

Thanks so much! Yeah, giving that wall another coat really made a difference, didn't it? I'm glad it caught your eye, and I appreciate the vote of confidence. We're learning as we go, and having support and teamwork makes all the difference. Really happy you're enjoying the space and the vibes we're putting out there!

I do a cleanup/rearrange what feels like every 2 years. It’s the most dreadful thing. I always love the days up to it, but when it comes to doing it, by myself, takes so long.
@BarbellBonding Жыл бұрын
I completely understand where you're coming from! It's amazing how the anticipation of a cleanup/rearrange can feel exciting at first, but the actual process can be quite overwhelming. Either way, it sounds like a win to me if it motivates you!

Congrats on the gym. I just ordered a bunch of equipment from REP also. Hauling the boxes in and unpacking is so much harder than actually putting it together lol!

Are you going to get the vendetta strength and Athletics brackets for your jammer arms? Those things are a game changer and help you start the movement in the right position instead of having to fight the weight to get it where you want it to be. Beautiful gym!
@BarbellBonding11 ай бұрын
Thanks for pointing that out! You're absolutely right - we've found ourselves using the ISO arms less than we expected, mainly for the reason you mentioned. We will definitely consider that moving forward. Really appreciate your input!

Very nice I have a Rep rack myself and dual athena cables. I wasn't sure why you painted wall black as it often makes room a lot darker but it does look slick next to the blacked out rep rack. Awesome wall control also I need to do that to mine for better organization. You guys might like the Kleva Atlas multi grip for lat pulldowns/rows. I also highly recommend Titan Squat Max MD best leg developer out there I gained about 35% leg strength in two months and two inches on legs with it. Gives back and hips a break from squatting too. Which lifting belt do you use I've lost some weight and mine doesn't fit now need a new one.

Really appreciate your feedback! And yes, we've also had our eye on the Athena - it's definitely on our wishlist. We chose black for the walls because it's versatile, and we're big fans of black. It gives us the freedom to switch things up with accent colors easily. Wall control has indeed made our organization much better - definitely worth it! And thanks for the recommendations on the Kleva Atlas and Titan Squat Max MD; we will surely look into them. Your gains sound amazing! As for the lifting belt, I use the SBD prong hybrid lever belt - honestly, it's the last belt you'll ever need. If you're looking for a new one, especially after losing some weight (congrats, by the way!), it's a fantastic choice. For beginners like my wife, the Rogue USA nylon lifting belt has been perfect. It's cost-efficient and has served her well as she's new to lifting. We'll dive deeper into both in our next video, so stay tuned!

Awesome thank you for such detailed response. I've considered creating a YTube channel mostly to review stuff I paid for and also show interesting ways to get great workout in home gym. Like how to use Henny Straps which simulate lever arms, squat max md, how to use bands and rig up a glute ham raise without buying one of those expensive and large space GHDs. Basically for that get nice barbell pad and rest legs under it and knees on bench and hold onto a band unless you have insanely strong hamstrings and can do them without help. My max squat was 300x3 a few months ago but my hamstrings were weak! Will check out belt thanks. Hurt my lower back deadlifting and its taken awhile to heal probably have 2 more months but can't wait to lift heavier again. Going to be safer this time!@@BarbellBonding

did you guys use primer on your walls before you painted? idk if i should on mine :D
@BarbellBonding4 ай бұрын
The paint we used was a self priming paint so we just repaired the previous holes in the wall and painted over that.
