Those Aluminum Trees were god awful ugly; but I remember my Mom had one in the early 1960's when I was very young. We had the color wheel also. There were a very popular fad that only lasted a few years and I think they were something of a status symbol back in the day. Good find for your EBay store.

Cabbage patch kids with the plastic heads aren’t that good. Get the original ones with the fabric head, believe they are called soft sculpture. That’s the ones we get atleast $75 if not more. We usually list them high and take offers. And most of the time we pay under $5.

That Spartina billfold matches my Spartina purse perfectly! That aluminum tree and color wheels were a bargain! I have been looking for a good deal on one of those myself. My grandparents had one when I was growing up and after they passed away, I don't know what happened to it. Wow! What a garage sale! Great finds!

OMG!! My Grandpa had one of those trees with the color wheel. I'm pretty sure he found it in the trash, and he found it with a set (24) of long blue ornaments. He set the tree up every year. After a couple of years, he decided that he didn't like the silver sparkle & he spray painted it green. LOL That's my grandpa. Have no idea what happened to the tree. My grandpa passed away about 25 years ago. Thanks for the memories.

My grandma had a Xmas tree like that, when I was a kid in the 1960s. It was the first artificial tree I remember seeing and the color wheel fascinated me, since the branches and hanging balls reflected each color, as the wheel spun.

Believe it or not, I saw, at my local Walmart one on display, just a couple of weeks ago. Of course, the stock was all sold out. They're not as well made as the vintage ones, though. My parents had one, when I was a kid, and a color wheel, also. Great find for you !

The cabbage patch kids are valued depending on the factory they are from (foreign places… anywhere except China and Taiwan are more valuable.) the condition (if they have pox or seasickness.) and certain things like the hair type or the eyes etc. also there’s different lines that were released like designer line for example that are more valuable. There’s also little people (soft sculptures.) which are more valuable too. It can be quite a complex thing to sell at times.

Kevin, those playing cards the lady was holding are KEM pinochle plastic cards. They go for decent money, anywhere from $15-$25 a pack. There's actually 50 cards in each pack, but only 48 are actually used for playing.
