I tried for about 20 minutes to replace using your quick way but could not quite pull it off; just did not seem like the cable was long enough. However the cover came off easily without breaking any clips and it was very smooth after that perhaps 10 minutes! Thank you for saving us $ and time very helpful! Just a caution to folks reading this - make sure you order the correct color latch. Yeah I ordered the black (the 8 dollar price on ebay made me forget about color Lol) when mine was gray!

Hi sorry can I ask u a question ? I have a Toyota Highlander 2006 v6 sport, and the ac light blinks at random times like when it’s really hott/cold or raining. It does blow air just not cold. Usually I turn in off and on and then it’s working perfectly fine. Do u think it’s an electrical problem or something else ?

Your problem is the “clutch relay” check my Toyota repairs playlist and look for the “Toyota a/c light blinking” problem and that’s your fix
