Thank so much Garage Built Honda's. I own a JDM GSR swapped 90 Si Hatch, you've made this process incredibly easy. You also made the GSR fuel filter replacement very very simple. You've single handedly made me a significantly more self reliant person. That is an invaluable trait to bestow upon others. You're doing good work man. Thank you.

For 88-91 ebrake cables that fit (CRX=short, DA=long) use 92-95 Civic Si or 93-95 Civic EX coupe (not sedan). They are the exact same length as the EF3/EF9 ebrake cable. The bolt brackets from the 88-91 HB easily swap over to the 92-95 cable and allows for a seamless install in the factory location.

Is there any other option for crx cables? A shorter option other than the 90-91 CRX SI cables that you know of?

Great video. I'm doing my disc brake conversion with Scarebird brackets, etc. My question to you is that you haven't or don't need to address the power brake booster, proportioning valve or master cyclinder. Scarebird recommends 1997 acura integra for its conversion. They go as far as replacing the master cylinder. Can all these changes work correctly with the existing power brake booster (91 CRX HF)? If not, any suggestions?

So basically, I could just order said acura parts online and slap it on my ED7? Also, is it possible to convert 4 lug to 5 lug hubs? Love your videos, you make these tasks less intimidating. Can I be your disciple?...Sensei!

Yes. 5 lug is optional as well. You could grab some R knuckles and hubs and do a 5 lug. Many people have.

It's a reman from autozone. I was just wondering if you think it had anything to do with the trailing swap or just a coincidence that it might be a defective part from autozone

More than likely coincidence. But they're parts can sometimes prematurely fail.

what brake lines did you use since you can't use the ones for the drums? The crx is brake lines, lines for the DA, or some other option?
@GarageBuiltHondas
@GarageBuiltHondas 6 жыл бұрын
We used DA on this car. You need CRX SI cables for a CRX. That's the only exception.

Hey Jon, I know this is an old video but if you see this, can you tell me if I can attach the lines from the DA integra disks to the hardline on the body of a 90 civic hatch? I know you said to get stainless steel ones but I noticed that your lines were cut in the video and wasn't sure if you said to get stainless ones because of that.
@GarageBuiltHondas
@GarageBuiltHondas 6 жыл бұрын
Stainless isn't needed. The stock ones will fit. I always upgrade because those old rubber hoses start to crack and break and since I'm already disconnecting the lines, it just makes sense to replace them at that time.

Not even close unfortunately. Your car has a rear torsion bar and didn't benefit from the double wishbone that came out in 1988.

The only problem with using the 90-93 Integra rear trailing arms is it widens the rear track.
@GarageBuiltHondas
@GarageBuiltHondas 2 жыл бұрын
Only a problem if you race, if you don't it's not an issue. And even then it's a minimal difference. You can easily fit 7" - 8" wide with 205 or 225 on both. I'm speaking from track experience using both DA and non DA sets.

Hi, I'm trying to do a swap like this you did, however I've found a problem with the brake fluid lines.. Look, I'm mounting the Integra 1993 RTA on an Civic sedan EJ6 LX 1998, the problem is the original Integra's brake fluid lines are too short; so, my question is, what brake fluid lines should I buy to fit in my new rear Civic configuration? I'd really appreciate any help about this matter.. Thanks in advance..

Alvaro Urbaez 96-00 Civic EX or 99-00 Civic Si. All of those have rear disc brakes and will be the correct length.

If you have drums, you have to use the Integra ebrake cables. You can pick whatever lines you want. Get them for a 90-93 Integra.

This it's a great video, very helpful. Though I have just one question. Can you keep the original e-brake cables, or is it a must to replace them? I ask the question because my EF LX came with the rear disc conversion already, but am having issues with my e-brake, I've adjusted it as much as possible from the center console but, really makes no big difference. Thank you!!!
@GarageBuiltHondas

You can't use drum cables, you need disc brake cables. They are not the same. You can purchase the cables brand new also if you want to try replacing them. You may want to see if the caliper is sticking where the cable is attached to it.
