The Rogue's teeth for adjusting the bench really shows it is a higher quality product and attention to detail over the REP with just two sets of teeth and an empty gap in between. I own the rogue adjustable bench 3.0, and it’s a great bench. I’m looking into the rep black wing, only because when doing incline bench inside my rep pr5000 it’s kinda a hassle to get the rogue bench into place. The vertical beam which the back pad rests on in the flat position gets in the way, because I have the rear base stabilizer. The black wing does not have that vertical beam.

Great comparison and enjoy your reviews. @ 9:05 the comment on back pad stability on the rogue is not accurate. I had a Rep ab5000 and now the manta ray. While the rep is one hell of a solid bench and very stable, the rogue is equal if not better with back pad stability. The hinge point tightening sequence on the manta ray is a bit finicky and it required several attemps to get it perfect but once i got it dialed in, the manta ray has absolutely zero backpad side play and yet the ladder mechanism works freely and effortlessly at the same time. Its crucial to take the time to get it tightened up correctly. ln my experience and not including the price factor, when comparing the rouge to the rep, the rouge hands down has the best build quality with equal if not better stability. I love rep and I have a garage full of there equipment including ares, plates, flat bench and accessories but the usability of the zero gap bench is a pain in the ass for 2 reasons: 1) Attaching the foot catch is a complete pain in the ass and time consuming to get it tight. It's garbage and could easily be improved. 2) Adjusting the bench positions is tedious if moving positions often during a workout. The rougue is ridiculously expensive but if just comparing usability, function and build quality, the manta ray is the better choice. Just my opinion

I have no doubt it's the better, nicer bench. Whether or not it's worth the price premium is a personal choice. One thing I do like about the China manufactured bench is the ability to decline without the need for the foot catch. That would come in handy for certain exercises. I guess you could prop up one end of the Manta Ray using a bumper plate etc. I have Rogue's AB-3 and can't really imagine upgrading considering what I paid for that bench. I'm sure Rogue's foot catch is also much nicer in comparison to what is currently being offered by the Chinese manufacturers.
