Except they’re pretty expensive and heavy. A $300 savage axis in 308 or 3006 would make a much much better rifle for hunting, at a 1/4 of the cost of an ak
@jmmartin77664 жыл бұрын
@@NB-ir1me Except the Axis only has four in the *single* mag they sell with it, and the bolt action makes it WAY slower if you have to use it as a self-defense rifle... Plus, it *is* more expensive if you have an AK, and then have to spend $350 more for the Axis (rifle and scope). *Both* rifles (up to now) have been relatively inexpensive compared to the decent quality & good performance you get-- That said, out of the two, *only the AK can do both jobs of hunting and war with relative ease...* I know this because I have and love both rifles! ☺
@NB-ir1me4 жыл бұрын
J Michael Martin I think the ar would be the better rifle for men and white tail and at half the cost for equal reliability I think that’s amazing. I’ve killed a lot of men with 5.56 and a few deer as well. If you need budget friendly that’s the best option vs $800 for a bottom line AK that is just good enough to not explode in your face

For your AK, to improve ergonomics, you can install a good PT-3 butt from the same Zenith, or if you don't want to change the stock frame, install the ECR-F74 cheek from Custom arms for it.
@Sk0lzky2 жыл бұрын
I used to run an unreasonably cheap AKS (about $500 at current conversion rate) with full metal frame stock, fixed the ergonomics with with a chunk of mattress foam and a ton of black isolation tape. Good times lol I wonder what's happening to it now
