Hey taco, I watch a channel called scrap vulture. He takes all the good textbooks for college classes he finds and looks them up and puts the good ones on eBay and seems to make good money off them. He's you tried that?
@TacoStacks6 жыл бұрын
Hello, Yes I have tried selling textbooks. Most college students sell back their textbooks at the end of the year for pennies on the dollar. If they don't they end up selling them online or in some cases saving them. After a couple years of procrastination they end up dumping them and by then those textbooks are worthless (like worth 50 cents) since the way these book companies make money is buying offering new editions every year or every other year. If you come across a textbook in the wild there is a 99% chance that it already is a couple years old. When I was in college I used to sell textbooks from thrift stores and even in that era it was very very difficult to find a textbook that sells, since they are almost always old editions or now in some cases require a certain "access" code making the book worthless.

Stephanie Murray we are a very backwards country in most every way.
@supertrouper25506 жыл бұрын
It's mandatory to recycle in much of the country. In nyc, for sure. We have to recycle. Private home owners get tickets if they don't. Buildings as well. I cannot understand these videos and all the junk that's thrown for the sanitation to clean up.
@TheFiown6 жыл бұрын
You reasure me !! I often hear of americans picking up this and that and here in France you call the municipality and they come pick it up free and buildings have several bins, I admit that many people especially the Young don't respect it but we do manage to recycle much of it. We have many clothes bins in the street also. I saw that much of the plastic and metal ends up back in china !! its big business.
@TheFiown6 жыл бұрын
I did not mean to insinuate anything by my comment, I jsut think that the US ignores many fundamental issues and seems to concentrate on what seems to us as the wrong things. No country is perfect.

You have metal "in the blood" lol! Anyway, I wish California has a choice for recycling metals, like your state... We cleaned our yard yesterday, and filled a 20 foot dumpster, and so much metal stuff had to go to the landfill, it made me "sick!!!" All I thought of, was how Taco Stacks would have recycled the iron fence posts, metal roofing, copper pipes, aluminium wires etc, etc... I think my husband got irritated at me haha!!! It really annoys me though, that CA does not demand that people recycle all this stuff!
