Just heard of them, and man have I been missing out for years.

Hey, at least you finally heard them. I remember when this particular song came out during my last year of high school; the memories from that year. This band is still kick ass to this day.

They have been huge in the 90's. Their first eponym album and second album "Version 2.0" were awesome. The third one, "Beautifulgarbage" is meh... I don't know why the went so pop for this one, that was a competely disaster and a commercial failure. Fourth album "Bleed like me" wasn't that great either, especially due to the fact that there was a lot of tension in the band. The fifth one, however, was incredibly good, like getting back to their "version 2.0" sounds, very well done. And as for the latest one, "Strange little birds", I didn't find it really thrilling, I think I listened to it only 4 times in total, very disappointing. And I used to be a huge Garbage fan, collecting all their CD single, 7" vinyls, promotional records and all that stuff... They also have a huge amount of B-sides from singles that are really worthy : "Girl don't come", "Trip my wire", "Lick the pavement", "13 x forever", "Soldier through this", "enough is never enough", "nobody can win", "betcha". Also some good cover that they did : "Can't seem to make you mine" (song from the seeds), "Thirteen" (song from Big star), "Butterfly collector" (song from The Jam), "I just wanna have something to do" (song from the Ramones. Shirley was super cool in the 90's, but lately, I really find that she got the big head and act like a diva, I don't like this at all. I prefered her when she was more natural, less showing off and coming on stage on casual clothes. Now, she just is quite too much, but it doesn't change the fact that she is a great song writer, singer and performer.

Año 2005. Allí estuve yo esperando que mi Shirley me diera un empujón. Y sí que lo hizo. Estas cosas no se borran de tu cabeza, como los recuerdos reprimidos. Un beso Shirley de your Latin Gruppi.

I don't always listen to grunge rock. But when I do, I listen to Garbage.
